I would put money on it that its a baby you are feeling! I felt the popping too and wasn’t sure at first but after feeling movement that I know is baby and looking back on it I think i felt baby a lot earlier than I even realized. After the popping it started to feel more like a muscles twitching and then full on kicks.

That’s what my first movements felt like πŸ™‚ I would also decribe it as tiny little nudges. I started feeling movement around 18 weeks, and I really only felt it if I was laying really still on my stomach, and it wasn’t a constant thing. The movements will only get stronger and more constant as the weeks go by! Then you’ll get to pick up on the little patterns of when they do and do not move during the day! It’s kind of fun πŸ˜‰

This is going to wound weird, but it’s the best way I can explain what it felt like to me. It felt like my my tummy was farting into my bladder. I felt it a few times and then nothing until the next day. This was proabably around 22 or 23 weeks, but I was warned I’d feel the first movements late because of where my placenta is. Now (25w1d) I feel something similar but bigger quite often and other movements throughout my abdomen… but nothing someone else could feel on the outside.

I think you are feeling the baby move, but you’ll know for sure if you keep feeling it for the next few days and then feel it get stronger.

@travellingfool:  πŸ™‚ I’m glad you are amused. I really cannot think of a better way to describe it. Bubbles doesn’t quite capture it right.
