(Closed) Flying with a Dress on Delta

I would call the airline. I have heard many do allow you to put your dress in a closet space area.

usually have a closet or will let you board first and will let you lay your dress down flat, but yes I would call just incase!

@mrs_pudding_pop:  I flew Delta with my dress.  The size of closet will depend on the plane, if you call the 800 number they should be able to help you figure out which route would be best. They won’t be able to guarantee space though, so I just let the gate agent know and tried to board early.  The first flight was no problem, the second flight the crew was so-so about it because they wanted to put the first class jackets in first, but I told them I could squish it at the back of the closet, so it was ok in the end. I did have to steam it after he trip (it was folded in half to make it easier to carry, so even if it didn’t get squished I would have had to do this anyway).
