It sounds like this woman thrives on the drama. Sometimes you just have to step back. We can’t change people or relationships just for a wedding.

I would send her the invitation, reinforce that you really want her there, then let it go. I’ll bet if you just stop dealing with her drama, she will come.

To be honest with you – if she’s going to be such a baby, maybe it’s better she doesn’t come?  It is totally her loss if she doesn’t come to her son’s beautiful day.  If I was you I’d ask you Fiance if you can both have dinner / coffee with her and talk to her about how important it is for her to be there, and how much you’d love for her to come and spend your special day with you.  But then you have to let her make her own choice.  If she decides not to come then don’t let her griping get to you.  You have to make your own decisions on where / how you want your day, and she has to make her own.  I know it’s hard, but try not to let her upset you

@Ashley_B:  It is messed that she doesn’t want to come, but she is not going to change. Unfortunately her son is the one who will be hurt by her actions.
