Ok, so my FMIL’s bday is coming up and so is her mom’s. My Future Mother-In-Law is awesome, and really stood up for me last night when I needed her to. She even told the people that I am her soon-to-be daughter, and in essence, not to mess with me, haha.
So, I want to get her something totally awesome, but what? She has all cooking supplies someone could ask for, and she is a very crafty person that loves to garden. She is usually ahead of me on fashion and everything cool, so it’s hard to impress her, but I do try.
Does any crafty bees have any suggestions? I’d like it to be ‘cool and thoughtful’ but not overdone, haha. Thank you Thank you Thank you!!

My Future Mother-In-Law loves chocolate so for her wedding gift we are getting her 3 months of chocolate of the month club! For my mom- we are getting her dessert of the month club for 6 months! They have tons of “______ of the month clubs!” Maybe you can find something to do with one of her hobbies!

I know that we’ve gotten Future Mother-In-Law jewelry before and she loves it. Maybe you can send her flowers? I’m sure that she’d really appreciate that along with any gift you give her. Or maybe you can get her a small plant/tree and help her plant it. This is going to sound really cheesy but when my brother was born my grandparents bought my parents a small tree and planted it so it’s kind of “grown up” with him. Since you and your Fiance just got engaged it can be like her birthday present but symbolize you coming into the family? Wow I sound so lame haha I still think it’s a cute idea though!

You said she loves to cook and garden.. I would probably look into edible herbs like Rosemary and Sage..
Hobby Lobby has some really cute vintage looking wooden crates right now. You could arrange them in there. She could use the crate as home decor, or for planting if she wanted.

Expanding on thefuturemrsrowe’s idea you could some fresh herbs, rosemary, sage, basil, and/or lavender into vintage bottle with corks a la Miss Crepe’s favors. You could even do some flavored sea salts. Then store them in a vintage wooden crate. There you go chic, yummy birthday gift from the hear full of love. You could also do infused olive oils. Or a combination of all three.
