Either that, or you have a very perceptive Fiance who mentioned to her that she needed to be nicer!

I can totally relate, my Future Mother-In-Law is horrible on a different level and just all around bad mom. It’s not a normal mother and son relationship. My SO does everything for his mother and she does nothing for him at all. It’s a really messed up situation. It’s hard because I wouldn’t trade my SO for anything in the world, but my ex had the nicest mother. I really really wish I had a Future Mother-In-Law that I was close with. I’m glad that I’m not alone in the horrible Future Mother-In-Law situation thought.

all she says is, “you look tired”.  i just say “yes i am but dinner doesn’t make itself”…. how about saying” Yes i am, so no dinner tonight. bye bye” 😀

Why don’t you cook dinner then ask your Fiance if he can clean up afterwards. Hopefully the Future Mother-In-Law will feel so bad her son has to do the cleaning that she will get up and help as well. Or you could always just ask her if she could give you a hand in the kitchen… I usually find that unless i ask no-one offers to help.

I don’t like my Future Mother-In-Law either.  She acts the complete victim, as if she is helpless. She’s only in her early 60s, only had one child, in better health than I am, has her own car, a good job, a lovely home, a huge family, a healthy husband etc.  But she’s always bleating that she ‘needs help’ with things?

Fiance and I were living together a good 2 hour journey from the ILs.  But who did Future Mother-In-Law always pester to go around and ‘fix’ her computer?  FI….usually when he’d just come off a 24 hour shift!  I’d be sat there fuming thinking ‘you’ve got a perfectly good husband sat right f**king next to you, ask him!’  Note: My Fiance knows bugger all about computers…

One memorable time, we were going on a weekend trip with them. She rang Fiance SIX TIMES, at work, the day before we went, going on at him about what clothes he needed to take.  FI isn’t supposed to take calls at work…and he’s 41.

She’s sodding pathetic!
