NO, no, no! “I hate Joe and don’t want him there.” That’s enough reason right there. On your wedding day, you should be surrounded by people you and your Fiance love, and vice versa. It’s ridiculous that Future Mother-In-Law is inviting all these random people, but that’s a whole other issue.

Joe’s mom said “he couldn’t wait and of course would be there.”- Why? You’re not friends with Joe, why the heck does he want to be there? Come on, we all know most guys hate going to weddings, anyway! :)-

Fight it. He is not invited until there is an invitation, so it doesn’t matter what Future Mother-In-Law said to his mother or him.  Personally, I’m stunned that you’re even permitting her to invite friends plural. My dad is paying for the entire wedding and he requested 2 people attend (with plus 1s.. so 4) who aren’t related to me.  But both are CLOSE family friends who have come to all family events and sometimes travel with my family.
