Have you tried using a menstrual cup? They’re really great and even for heavier flows, can definitely hold for more than an hour before needing to be emptied. I don’t know if your comfortable with it or would be able to grab one on short notice, but I would recommend trying it if you can.

I would wear a tampon and an overnight pad with very snug underwear. Use them fresh right before the ceremony starts and let your Maid/Matron of Honor know so right after she can help guide you through your guests to a bathroom.

Ugh this does suck. I second the menstrual cup suggestion if you are able to get one and willing to try it. Use a pad too. And stay calm while putting it in.

I absolutely second the pp suggestion, a super tampon as well as a pad.

I wouldn’t try anything new today, and I don’t have experience with the diva cup, but it might be something to try in the future, just not today.

    Happy wedding day!

Super tampon, pad and a couple of painkillers if you suffer from cramps. I had my period on my wedding day and I was livid, however once I got past the initial AGGHHH phase I didn’t notice it too much for the rest of the day. My mum helped me with the bathroom stuff and my BM’s provided the painkillers when I looked like I was getting crampy! Don’t be embarassed to tell a close friend or parent as their help will make it less of an annoyance!!

I agree with PP, double up with tampon and pad, and take some ibuprofen. Ibuprofen can reduce your flow.

    And happy wedding day!

At least it came in the morning, and not in the middle of the ceremony. :O

I get married next weekend and I’ll probably be in the same boat. cry I don’t usually get PMS, but I have it MASSIVELY right now. I wouldn’t care, but I just had my gown let out and it finally fit well. Well, now I’m up a bra size and a half and I have massive abdominal bloating. So it’s going to fit the way it did before I had it altered. >:(

    Wishing you a wonderful day!
