I get those on my inner cheeks all the time. I usually don’t do anything and they pop on their own and go away. I’ve never gotten one under my tongue though… strange.

What other health problems have you had this week?

@thehoneybear: oh goodness! What a cruddy week ๐Ÿ™ Hope things turn around and will say a prayer for ya!

Your tongue looks like a blood blister from the abrasion due to playing with the retainer. It should clear up in a few days , assuming you can keep the retainer playing to a minimum lol

I would call your dentist, but Mrs. Argentina is probably right! It looks like a blood blister

Keep the retainer out until it goes away. No sense in causing more trauma to the area. There’s really nothing that can be done to it and it should clear up on its own. When you put in the retainer, look in the mirror and see if it covers it and you’ll know for sure if its the cause. It can also be caused by toothbrush trauma to the soft tissue in that area or a piece of food getting lodged under the retainer.

A dentist is the one you would see for this.

If you’re sucking on the retainer, then I suspect that’s what it’s from. Kinda like a hickey, but under your tongue. If you don’t wear your retainer for a little while I think it should go away. But I’m no expert, and if you think it might be something more, I’d call your dentist.
