I think our plan is to have everyone sort of get ready on their own (except for me and the BM’s) I will probably be around when my mom & dad are getting ready (mostly because I plan on getting ready in their house though…)

I have attended weddings where all the men went golfing in the am including the two Dads.

Most often though, the Future Mother-In-Law and FFILget ready on their own and the FOB and MOB get ready on their own, or the bride and her attendants also dress at her parents’ home.

We split it and had the MOB & MOG and attendents all with the bride getting ready, and all the men were together. The MOG went to the men later on to make sure ties and bouts were straight and on the right side!

I kind of assumed that my Mother-In-Law would get ready with her sisters and maybe her mother, my fiance’s grandmother. My father probably won’t have too much to do to get ready, so I’m not too concerned.

This is a question I struggle with too — my FMIl and future-step-mother-in-law (is there an abbreviation for that???) are under the assumption that since they are staying in the same hotel, they will be able to be in my suite with me and my girls while we are getting ready and I do not want them there. Not to be rude or anything, but it’s not really their place. Not sure how to broach that with them though :/

@mrs_g.mck:  Agreed. The only people getting ready with me will be my two attendants and my Mom. If it comes up, I’ll tell them (FMIL, Future Sister-In-Law, Aunts, etc.) gently that I want to keep my day-of activities limited to a small, intimate group, and my dress is a surprise until the ceremony.

I think how I’m gonna do it is my mother, my sisters (bridesmaids) and I will get ready together. And my father if you count the being in the same house as getting ready with us lol Then Future Mother-In-Law and Future Sister-In-Law will be getting ready at their hotel, I also think Fiance will be getting ready there too so I can have them keep a eye on him and the groomsmen lol

Plan to take picture with both parents before the ceremony, so they won’t be too far away. Future Mother-In-Law and Future Father-In-Law will get ready together in thei hotel room. Same with my parents
