I have no experience of this but I’m fairly sure primordial follicles cant be discerned by eye- they are less than 0.1 mm in diameter. I assume the birth control has prevented your follicles developing and that’s why there are less visible. I would try not to think about it too much, it sounds like your Dr is happy with how things are going. Good luck!

hk2016 :  I’ve gone through 2 IVF cycles (2 retrievals, 2 transfers) and I’m currently 12 weeks pregnant. My biggest advice is to trust your doctor and not second guess anything because it will drive you crazy for the next 18ish days (until you have a final frozen count). It is what it is, you can’t change a lot of IVF (it’s just “what happens”) and the things that your RE can control, you picked them because you trust their skills. Deep breath, even the second time it still felt like a roller coaster (long story why I did 2 retrievals- my results are atypical)

Good luck with stims!

hk2016 :  If you have any questions, please ask. It’s such an emotional, stressful time.
