Any experience with either? I think I’ve narrowed it down to Spectra (once I verify insurance will cover), but wanted to solicit opinions on differences between these two….
Thanks for always being so helpful, ladies!

You should figure out what pumps your insurance covers before you have your heart set on a pump that’s not covered. Sometimes it’s quite limited.

I’ve never used Spectra so I’m no help there, but I have a Medela Pump In Style Advanced and I love it. No issues with it whatsoever.

Mrs. Meowerson : If I had a choice between the two, I would go for the S1 because it has the rechargable battery so you don’t always have to be by a plug. I don’t think it is a necessity though, and I would with either. I don’t think there is much of a difference between the two other than that.

S1 because I am going to go back to work and will need to pump there. I would rather not crawl around looking for a plug and thought that the battery was worth the upgrade price I had to pay- my insurance only covered the S2.
I haven’t used it yet because the kid is still cooking but I washed/sterilized all the parts and it is very good quality and super quiet. I also ordered two of the adapters so I could pump into my Medela storage bottles that I received as a shower gift.
