This is Respective- downloaded from dafont.com. Check there for lots of caligraphy and handwritten fonts (free!)

We used the font Mishka. It’s $45 but it’s totally worth it. It’s OpenType so you have like 9 choices for each letter, since depending on each address, you’ll want different styles to accommodate, and you can pick and choose which letters get to be extra fancy and which will be more plain.

@orangek8:  Wow, gorgeous!

So for those who printed addresses right onto the envelopes, did you use mail merge?  Or print one-at-a-time?  I’m envelope-printing challenged!

We printed one at a time from Adobe Illustrator.

I used Jellyka Western Princess from http://www.dafont.com. It was free, and we printed the addresses on our grey envelopes one shade lighter. I traced over the font with a white gel pen. It was a lot of work, but I love the way they turned out. Dafont has a lot of nice calligraphy fonts.

Those are pretty thin. If you check your local craft store (Michael’s, Hobby Lobby), they should have a pen section with gel and other types of pens that would be a little thicker, or have calligraphy tips. You’ve probably already done so, but download their store apps and they’ll scan your phone for 40% pretty much any day of the week. Good luck!

We just used word to print on the envelopes.

I got a calligraphy pen from Michaels.

Good luck!

I know this is an old thread, but I referenced it when printing my envelopes this week and wanted to add the font I chose!  It’s Jellyka Delicious Cake from dafont.com.

How do you do faux calligraphy?  How do you trace onto the envelopes?
