You could do a veggie platter?

How many? Where are you?

What about a caprese salad? Bruschetta? Prusciutto wrapped asparagus? How upscale do you want it? Costco does trays of wraps and veggie trays…

I would do at least one bread/cheese/potato option for the picky eaters. (My Maid/Matron of Honor won’t touch vegetables.) However, if you are having sandwiches and desserts, so that would be good.

I’m thinking about doing something similar. It sounds like you have a good start! I love the idea of making the food ourselves! Below I have listed some other ideas that may suit your wedding. Best wishes!

Platters:

– Cheese and Crackers

– Assorted Vegetables

– Pickles and Olives

Salads:

– Pasta Salad

– Caesar Salad

Hors D’oeuvres:

– Caprese Skewers

– Deviled Eggs

– Prosciutto Wrapped Melon or Asparagus

– Spinach Dip w/ Pita or Tortilla Chips

Sandwiches:

– Chicken Salad Sandwiches

– Mini BLTs

– Pulled Pork Sliders

– Mini Meatball Subs

* Last two sandwich options would require a slow cooker (as long as that is something you are okay with)

@star_shine: No Problem! Sounds like your wedding will be great! I hope all goes well with the planning! I’m in the process of trying to convince my mom to do something along the same lines for my wedding. She is a bit more upscale than I am, and more into a fancy dinner. I happen to love the DIY food idea, though!

I like the veggie platter option with cheese and crackers.
