Hi Bees, I would appreciate your advice…
I’m planning an outdoor wedding ceremony and reception next July in the midwest and I’m stuck on what to do for food. Here are some details: I will have a tented reception with industrial fans and a rented a/c if needed (this summer was really mild and I’m hoping for the same next year!) This will take place on a partially wooded property I’m renting for the weekend with a 1920’s cottage type home near a river. The house has a full kitchen, so food can be stored and/or prepared in the house. I’m planning to have about 150 people attend the reception. I’m aiming for a sort of a romantic vintage-y chic vibe (if that makes any sense).
Does anyone have any ideas about what to serve for food?… and how to do it? I think buffet style makes the most sense, but I don’t know if that’s “classy,” amd I don’t love the idea of everyone waiting in line for food. I’m most concerned about the logistics of serving food outdoors. Also, any ideas for a menu? I’d love to hear what others are planning or have done for their outdoor reception.
Thanks for your help!
