We’re considering a midnight snack for our guests, and have been considering a lot of different things. Today we ate at a taco food truck, and my Fiance suggested we see if we can get a food truck to show up during the dancing part of the night, and give tacos. Im trying to figure out the logistics of doing it, whether we would prepay for a certain amount, or just let people get what they want and pay after; how long they should be there, what time they should be there, ect.
Anyone ever had a food truck or outside food source come in as a late snack?

We’re doing a late lunch/afternoon reception and getting a woodfired pizza truck in to cater it 🙂 We’re just paying a certain amount per head and they get unlimited pizzas. Different places have different payment schemes though. Another pizza place we were in touch with charged per pizza. What we did when we were discussing with the cost/per pizza people is ask them how much they thought people would eat (they’d know better than us) and they said they’d bring enough stuff to cover that plus some, and we could arrange final payment after the event was over based on consumption. I’m sure you could cap how much you were willing to spend though as well.

My Fiance and I are thinking about having a food truck as well. I would probably narrow it down to a couple trucks and contact them about it, maybe they’ve done a wedding before. I would probably arrange a tasting and maybe they could set up a special menu for the night of just a couple choices. I’m sure you’d prepay based off the number of guests.

@DelilahDiamond– We’re using a food truck for the food at the reception and we’re paying per person however we’ve created a specific menu. Each food truck I’ve spoken to has stated there would be a set menu with a set price.
@punchy–are you in Las Vegas? I was going to use a food truck that was a fire engine and the lady stated we would just be charged a certain price for unlimited pizza as well.
