So many things ! Beets, parmesan cheese, brussel sprouts, black pudding, peppers, mushrooms, snails, broccoli. And until my early 20s, I was also afraid to taste sushis, salmon and beef tartares and goat cheese. It sounded gross for some reason, but when I tasted them I fell in love !

It’s like a sausage made with pork blood. It sounds (and looks) disgusting, but it’s actually not that bad.

MrsYokiman:  so weird right?! I hated it as a kid and didn’t try it again until a few years ago!! I absolutely love it (obviously) and now we always have it in the house haha

MrsYokiman:  Bacon goes with everything ! Make it a topping on your apple pie or crumbles on top of your maple and walnut ice cream. I could eat bacon every day, haha !

Also if you haven’t tried goat cheese with pears, I suggest you try that ASAP. 😛

Olives! Although I still don’t love them mixed with other food, I prefer to just eat them on their own.

Whole wheat versions of things, beans, black olives, raw tomatoes. Ive been trying to eat healthier versions of things, so I made myself try substitutions. Aside from chili and baked beans, I hated beans. Now I sneak them into dishes, especially tex mex dinners.

Oh, and nuts!

Cottage cheese. My mom said I’d hated it since she first gave me some when I was a year old (spit it all over her face.. in public).

As a kid, I thought it looked chunky and gross, and my relatives always put it in lasagna and it would mix with the sauce and look all pink and nasty.

I tried it again when I was probably 17 and have loved it ever since.. though I still do not like it in lasagna.

I was an EXTREMELY picky eater as a child, so heres a list of things that I could not STAND and now I can’t imagine living/cooking without them: onions, butter (yup you heard that right, not on toast not on rice NOTHING. If I saw you put it into something that you were cooking I would choose to starve), any kind of peppers (other than jalapenos), any kind of sauce including ketchup and BBQ sauce, “soggy” french fries (you know, like the limp ones from McDonalds…), limes, salt, oh gosh theres so much more…

Hamburgers…I have always loved a good steak but never really liked hamburgers.  However, I could eat them for every meal during this pregnancy.  I also eat a lot more fish and veggies now than I did as a kid.

Cheese.  I hate milk (still do) so cheese creeped me out.  I eat it everyday now!

One food I won’t eat is peaches.  Daddy gave me a bite of his peach yogurt when I was like 8 and I puked EVERYWHERE!  Still won’t eat it almost 30 years later.
