LilliV: I had a bloodtest recommended by my ob to test my levels at cd2 couple years ago. I passed out because they took so many vials of blood and I was already bleeding. My cramping got so severe after the bloodtest I was traumatized. I guess i’ll cross that bridge if/when I have issues. My mom had me at 28 and my brother at 32. My mom’s side of the family has had fertility issues. My grandpa’s sister adopted both her kids and my 1st cousin had an ectopic before her first child. My other 1st cousin took almost a year to conceive second child and her sister had an ovarian tumor and needed one of her ovaries removed.

giaf1: I went off BC May 2015 and started TTC June 2015. We took 3 months off Oct, Nov, and Dec and then decided to start TTC again Jan 2016 and I got pregnant. So on our 5th month I got pregnant.

giaf1: I didn’t start TTCing until older than 30, but my mom had endometriosis and conceived me at age 30, after three months of not preventing/not trying.

I got pregnant after 4 months, my second cycle off bc. I have endometriosis and pcos so my cycles are very irregular and long. I was 30 when I got pregnant.

We said we’d wait to try till after I turned 30.
I turned 30 on June 5th, and I found out I was pregnant June 27th.
First cycle trying. 🙂

Fwiw, I think so much plays into it besides age;overall health, genetics, lifestyle factors etc. I’m 38 and just conceived on first cycle trying. Not suggesting you should wait until that age, but just offering anecdotal evidence that all is not lost once you hit 25. ;-p

It really depends on so many factors. We got pregnant during my 4th cycle off the pill. We were not expecting it to happen that quickly because I had a very complicated medical history including endometriosis, but were very happy it did. I hope when you choose to start trying you have an easy time!

My friend was married in November 2015 and just announce she is 3 months pregnant. She is 29. My other friend was also married November 2015 and anounced she is 3 months pregnant this past April, she is 25. Another was married September 2015 and got pregnant on her honeymoon accidentally, she is 27. I seem to be having handfuls of friends announcing pregnancies very soon after marriage lately lol

I’m 30, was on BCP since I was 14 years old for severe cramping that often led to vomiting. My docs have always assumed I have endo though I never had a lap procedure to officially diagnose (but I did improve on BCP). I came off BCP 4 months before my wedding and were NTNP up until the wedding day, and actively started trying after our wedding. I was having regular 26-28 day cycles but when lab work was done it showed my progesterone was fairly low in the 7 range. So 14 months of active trying with a few NTNP, the last 2 months have been medicated months (clomid) and now I’m very early in my first ever pregnancy.

- Wedding: September 2015 - Hotel Ballroom
I am also 27 and got married September 2015 (small world)! Darling Husband and I were TTC seriously for five months with no luck. We then decided to talk a little ‘break’ from it. Not because we had a change of heart on having a baby right now, but TTC can be stressful! That break started two months ago, and we were planning on starting up again on my next cycle.
After three positive home pregnancy tests over the last few days, i am going to the doctor today to hopefully confrm I am pregnant (but I think three tests and my period being 12 days late is a pretty good indicator).
So…I guess seven months…but this was technically ‘unplanned’….though VERY much wanted!

giaf1 : 29 and it took 3 months after bc stopped. I wasn’t ever sure I could have kids. I was on a lot of different birth control and never had a normal cycle. The few times we messed up, no accident ever happened like with my friends. I had started to doubt our fertility. Dh and I talked about trying for a year. Then when my insurance ran out around that time I decided to stop bc. What’s the point if it was gunna take years. Right? Dh wanted to wait another year but I didnt. He pretending to listen in oct when I told him I stopped bc, which we talked about. He freaked in Nov when it kicked in. He was calm on Dec and in Jan he was excited! Then bam! pregnant. I think his attitude effected his sperm if you ask me. Good luck sweetie!
