I JUST saw that oval solitaire on Pinterest! So beautiful. That would be my choice out of the options. 🙂

You have to go with the oval! If that’s what you keep thinking about – that’s the one to get! And I think ovals are awesome! Not boring in the slightest. In fact, because I don’t see them often – I would think it was way more interesting than a round with a blingy band that I see all the time!

lol! To bad that wasn’t an option lol

I have an oval solitaire and I actually get comments on how UNIQUE it is! So, go with whatever will make you crazy happy staring at it all the time! Oval Solitaires are classic, timeless, and unique all at the same time! Circles look the same (still gorgeous, of course) no matter the size.. It’s a round diamond- done. But ovals some how all look different and unique from even one another!!! Then again I’m so pathetically biased 😉

Or what about what the other bees said? An oval with a split shank! It’s so fun designing your own and knowing that no one else has your ring!!

I’d hold out for a setting with filagree and milgrain… They’re my favorite thing about a ring!

#2! Cause while that is not a picture of my hand…it is almost identical to my ring! Mine is 4 prong instead of 6.

A LOT of jewelry stores mark things up so they can mark them down later and create a sense of urgency by putting it on “sale.” I highly doubt it’s worth 20k.

I know, I hardly think it’s worth 20k either. Definitely not. I still thought it was ridiculous at 14k… But some people would probably buy it if they had the money!

It’s nice to know many people out there love the solitaire oval out of my top picks. I’ve been lusting over them for a long time, but have my moments where I wonder about the more traditional round! I feel a lot better about it now!
This is what my dream set would be for a bit of fun:
Oval diamond (my crush on James Allen at the moment)
Setting (oval is set quite low with a very dainty band – yep, I want a gap! 🙂
Annnd the wedding band:
Hope you like it! Now I just have to patiently wait and drop hints 😉

Do you have pictures of the ring on your actual hand? I love it!

There’s nothing boring about a solitaire. It’s a classic, timeless setting. I liked settings 2-4 (#1 looks rather fragile and like it won’t hold up in the long term), but if you keep coming back to the oval, go with the oval!
No, I wish! These are just my ultimate dream engagement and wedding rings :p Maybe some time in the future!

I love number 4. It is different from the other choices & it’s unique. I would definitely chose 4. It’s gorgeous.

I love the ring with the shared setting band! Very pretty 🙂
