Wow…maybe it’s just because I’m pregnant and getting pretty sick of other women’s know it all attitude when it comes to making constant comments about it, but I think it’s pretty mean. Not to mention bitchy/condescending. Nice to see she managed to fit in half a sentence about loving her child between telling us all how we’re wasting our time and what a mess we’ll be!

I get that she meant it towards her pre-baby self, but obviously by posting it online is addressing it to others and acting like it applies to everyone…just kind of irks me. But I might be overly sensitive since at least once a day women I know like to bait me just to criticize and/or act like I am clueless. Like asking if I’m tired, and if I dare to say yes telling me that I don’t know what tired is, just wait till baby comes, blah blah blah. It annoys the crap out of me! Yes, being a new mom (hell, being just a mom in general) is tiring. Yes, I know I’ll be waking up with him a lot for feedings and changing and general fussiness. But damn, you can let me be excited and try to plan without raining all over my parade constantly!

@Wonderstruck:  Holy.shit.YES.

I am about this close || to slapping the next mom who wants to give me helpful advice. Seriously. I’m at the point where I’m like: I’m sure you mean well, Super-Real-Advice-Mom, but can you just STFU already? >:|  The baiting is terribad.  Oh, thanks for asking me if I’ve thought about a birthing plan just to put down my birthing plan and tell me to get over myself and get an epi I may or may not want.  Real helpful.  And just last week we visited family and everytime I did something airheaded (because I’m throwing up nonstopped and not sleeping and just finished school while working full time and dealing with this unexpected pregnancy and what it means for my life) like forget to pack socks for our trip and have to go to the dollar store to grab a pair, forget my keys in another jacket pocket, etc, my aunt Betty would say (like 5 times a day): “Oh, man, Dr.Teeth.  And you’re having a BABY.  You’re life is about to change sooooo drastically.”  Like in a “better-get-in-gear” sorta way.  Well, no shit sherlock.  Step off, Betty.  Step.off.

Public Service Announcement: Hormones – they ain’t pretty.

I have a kid already, and reading this made me go, “Oh YEAH!” I totally remember so much of that. And hello, I did alllll my research on birth… except for the c-section that I ended up with. Whoops. Wish I had read more about how to donkey kick your husband in the kidneys while he’s snoring loudly and blissfully next to you while you have a 9lb soft little munchkin FINALLY conked out on your chest. I found it totally hilarious and I also nodded a lot- I know so much of it is cliche (the not sleeping ever thing, whatever), but after losing two pregnancies since September of this year I’m kind of super excited to have people tell me, “You have no idea how hard it’s going to be with two” because it’s worth people telling me I don’t know shit in the long run.

And honestly? The baby pinned on you isn’t so bad- I got to watch a lot of Friends episodes that way. ๐Ÿ™‚

This is hilarious! I can’t decided if I want to laugh, or cry.

Still can’t wait to be a mum though!

@Wonderstruck:  I know, planning and fretting is part of the process! It’s just silly to pretend otherwise… cmon we’re nesting! Also, it’s fun. I fully intend to keep it up. And I simply don’t believe that taking care of a new baby will be half as bad as she has put it. Especially for me, with 2 eager first-time grandmas just 3 and 10 minutes away!
