Hi Bees!! I wanted to share this incase it could help someone else.. So I am a natrual blonde but over the years have dyed my hair MANY colors and now have to bleach to get blonde. The other day I decided I want to be platinum blonde for the wedding bcause its the color I feel my best in..and most like me. I usually always do it myself BUT this time something went terribly wrong..it turned my (already blonde) roots HILIGHTER YELLOW )0= I was mortified and didnt want to put anything else on it in fear of frying it and losing the lenght I’ve been working SO hard for. SO went to Sally’s Beauty and found this..Manic panic, (virgin snow).. (non-damaging) semi-permanate toner. I was really sceptical at first because its PURPLE..which I use purple shampoo all the time but the thought of purple dye was a bit more scary. I decided I had to try it because I couldnt go another minute with yellow hair. SO I did it..The bottle said leave for 30 min..but every review I read said longer so I had it on quite a bit longer but it turned out amazing and my hair feels great!! Now this does not lift or lighten your hair..just tones down yellow. Also your hair has to be the lightest yellow possible to get the platinum blonde result from it. Here is the before and afters!! Be cautious that leaving this on too long could give you greyish hues (keep in mind I like mine almost white)!! So really monitor your hair while its on(0= Hope this helped somebody!!

I’m so happy for you! When I read the title of your post, I actually thought you were asking how- and this was the EXACT product I was going to suggest!
When I went to cosmetology school 3 years ago (as a makeup artist, not hairdresser), the hair school upstairs used it religiously!
I’m happy you got your hair back to normal, it looks really pretty!

Thank you for posting this! Sometimes I’ve had trouble with hair color coming out a little more yellow-warm or brassier than I intended. I’ve used “purple shampoo” before and it worked to tone it down some, but this product looks more intense. I’m making a note to get some and keep it on hand. It’s tough being a blonde sometimes, lol . . .

Ooh great tip thanks! I started highlighting my hair last year and its quite light now but has a tiny amount of yellow.
@Mrs.GreenEyes: Can you remember how long it was that you left it on for ,thanks!?

@Midgely: I left mine in about an hour and a half while checking it every few minutes or so..you can actually see it turning before your eyes so it will really depend on how platinum you want to be(0= i would never suggest leaving oher toners on that long but this produst needs no developer and actually has a conditioning effect rather than damaging!! (0= PS> I used the original manic panic virgin snow, but they just came out with the amplified version of it so it may take less time(0= They also say your hair needs to be as light as possible to get the platinum effect because it doesnt lift the color, just couteracts the yellow..here is a link to reviews (0= hope this helps!!

It looks great! Sounds like it was the perfect fix. I use purple shampoo to tone my hair more white–the purple definitely lifts the yellow!
