MaybeEventually- I love a classic saphire. Reminds me of my favourite Princess Diana!

“Boring”, “plain”, “small”. Just a few words to describe my classic .5 carat but my favourite (NOT!) comments so far have been “when are you going to upgrade?” (never) and “do you really like it?” (wtf).

bluebellsbride, that ring is so pretty.  It reminds me of my engagement ring from my first wedding.  Simple, but elegant and timeless

I wish the title of this thread would change from “underappreciated” to “”well loved” rings. Every one on here loves their ring, yes?

I think if everyone on this thread had made individual threads about their rings, you all would have got a lot of positive feedback. If you are just posting them on occasion in a mega thread with a lot of other rings, they may not get as noticed. This thread makes me want a different engagement for every day of the year! Diamond, moissy, gemstone, 3 stone, halo……I want one of each!

bluebellsbride:  Wow! You must be surrounded by dicks!

Your ring is classic, sophisticated, and timeless. Size is relative. I wouldn’t wear anything bigger than a half carat for every day wear. That would feel huge to me(I rock a .25). Do the people commenting on the size of your stone have something to prove with their own rings? I would kindly let them know the size is just perfect for you because you don’t. It’s timeless just the way it is.

ashley128:  Thank you, you are so sweet. We actually found Tacori to not be so bad price wise! They give you some flexibility because all the rings are handmade in California and they automatically come with a CZ (you need to add your own diamond). I personally didn’t mind so I’m actually still wearing it with the CZ, and we can save for the diamond later! The only thing is you have to have some idea what carat size your diamond WILL be (assuming you will switch down the road) because they need to know what prong size to use, and the prongs can only go up or down a few points of a carat. Downside is it’s harder to insure since it doesn’t make sense to appraise without the diamond. I love Tacori’s the design and workmanship is exquisite!!! :):):)

Bridey77:  All of my close girlfriends have a full carat or larger witha halo so mine is significantly smaller. People are strangely competative I have learned. Even my suster and maid of honour said she wants only above a full carat or it “looks waaaaayyy to cheap”.

lawandbeauty53:  I don’t believe you’re 50!!! You look like you’re in your 30s!!! And honestly forget what people say about your ring. They’re not wearing it. I say theyre just jealous because they don’t have a ring as gorgeous as that and amazing husband such as yours! Congrats on your wedding coming up this year :))

You all already know what my ring looks like ahha. Mine is called the “goughty” ring because its too much going on and its too small. The center stone is a half carat and it looks big because it sits high on a cathedral setting. But honestly some days it does look big and other days it looks small. People expected something in the 1 carat section. I LOVE my ring and the ONE who gave it to me. 🙂

bluebellsbride:  Well, there’s nothing more classic than a round solitaire. It’s a shame they feel like they have something to prove with their rings. Your sister will probably be disappointed by how much people aren’t going to care about her ring IRL.

lawandbeauty53:  I love your ring! I’ve loved it since I saw it featured on the hive, but that was before I made an account. I haven’t seen you post it since I stopped lurking and started posting. I think that suggesting that having a large ring makes you more materialistic than everyone else is ridiculous. We are ALL materialistic because we are hanging out on the ring board. If material posessions didn’t matter then no one would be here.

mrsbear2be:  Your ring is so gorgeous and fiery <3. Is it a double halo or is the center a single stone? It’s so blingy my eyes can’t even focus on it!

YogaMama:  I dont think I’ve ever seen your ring posted. The tension set side stones are awesome!
