I know you probably don’t have access to a computer right now but I want to express how sorry I am that you had to go through what you’ve just been through.
3 years ago on Memorial weekend my town Parkersburg Iowa was destroyed by a tornado as well. It was one of the scariest things I’ve ever been through and I know first hand how you feel when you come out of the basement or whatever shelter you took and find that you no longer have a house, a car or a town. I had my twins with me who at the time were 3 and I was more scared for my families safety than the possessions. My oldest son was at his dad’s house and missed the tornado thankfully, he was 5 1/2 at the time.
My grandma lives in Joplin and she is ok her house has minimal damage so she was very lucky.
I just wanted to let any brides or others know that I am here to listen if you want to talk about what you went though. Like I said I know first hand how it feels to have your house/town leveled by a tornado in less than a minute. Just message me and I’ll give whatever advice and comfort I can. Just know that you aren’t alone and things will get better in time. I have a plaque hanging in my new living room that I bought after the tornado that says “The Most Important Things in Live aren’t Things”.
Again sooo sorry for your losses and tragedy.
