I have been on this site for a year now 🙂 I love it!
I have noticed that some bees have been complaining about their skin and products. I have posted this as well as a reply to some posts however I felt a need to get this out as a post on its own.
Now, some of you mey already tried this and if it didn’t work for you then continue exploring other ways. It does not work on everyone but for those that it does end up working – you will be a very happy bee with extra $ in your pocket from now on.
I know that some things sound too good to be true and I totally agree, however in this case as I have stumbled upon it myself and decided to give it a try…. I feel like this is one of those times where this is soo good and soo true so I feel the need to share it with whomever wants to try it.
I cried becasue my skin was so bad last year. I thought that nothing will fix it. I started noticing bumps and thought that even scars were forming. I was putting on makeup to hide my red blemishes and large pores. I bought Oil absorbing paper so I could touch up my forhead, nose and chin that were covered in oil by noon so that I wouldn’t look shiny. My face was always red coming from showever or any face wash. I tried everythign and spent a lot of money trying everything that was failing me. I had facials and was reccomended products that also failed within 2 weeks. Once we got engaged Imy biggest fear was how will my makeup stay on my face and not show the oil that was coming out of my pores.
One day I put the makeup on because at that point I would never leave the house without it and my Fiance and i were heading shopping. We stopped for gas and i looked in the mirror and my face was red and irritated. I started crying because i just felt so hopeless.
That same evening I had gone online and typed up all the problems i was experiencign and stumbled upon Crunchy Betty web site. It’s a web site that gives you opinions and recipes of all natural, homemade products and ways of applying them.
So enough of how I found this but now here is what I do:
In the morning in the showever I wash my face, neck and chest with honey. Yes honey. I buy the Organic Honey which is the most pricy in the store where I shop – About 10$ for a bottle. ( I used HoneyBee honey too and it worked)
If I feel liek I want to exfoliate (which i do once a week) I add a little sugar to the honey.
After I come out of the shower i pat my face dry, take a cotton pad, wet it fully, squeeze the excess water out and add 3 dropps of Apple Cider Vinegar – this acts as toner. I apply it on my face, neck and chest area.
I wait till my skin absorbs it and in meantime brush my teeth. ( I also add a little of hdrogen peroxide to my toothpaste as it helps to keep teeth white)
Once my skin is dry, I apply a moisturizer. Currently I am using Aveeno Positively Radiant. I also use Lucid Oil once a week and sometimes a moisturizer from Lush line. I apply the moisturizer to my face and neck.
The only makeup I use now is mascara and eye shadow. I don’t need to use anything else becasue my skin had cleared up so much. However If I do put make up on I wash my face again before going to bed with honey and add a little baking soda (honey alone will not take the makeup off).
To take mascara off I use a cotton pad and 4 dropps of Extra Virgin Olive Oil. Keeps my skin around eyes well moisturised.
If I don’t wear makeup I don’t wash my face before going to bed. I leave it the way it is till morning. My skin doesn’t get oily or dry and i really don’t need to do anythign to it throughout the day.
If I do get a pimple (which I do when on my period due to chocolate) I dab a small amount of honey on it and the spot is nearly gone the next day. You can try to do it and notice it for yourself.
Any breakouts I get now are barely visible and don’t stick around. Generally go away within a day or two and are less red.
After I started doing this, I noticed results right away and it only got better with time. It’s been 3 months now that I have been following this routine and I can honestly say it’s been the best thing that has happened to me. It really changed my life and the way I look at my skin.
I know we like to have fancy bottles and creams with brand names in our bathrooms and using honey or ACV mey not feel fancy LOL but if you use this for a week and you see an improvement, invest in some spa jars. I paid about 20$ alltogether for mine.
Thank you for reading. Hope you will give it a try 🙂
