That’s great your skin cleared up with natural products! I also love honey and use it as a mask with egg whites once a week. I have never thought to use it as a cleanser… But you have convinced me to try it!!!!

I have heard wonders about ACV and bought a couple of bottles to try topically as well as internally (drank a shot mixed with water every day). I found that after about a week, my stomach felt like it had an ulcer in it or something! So, I don’t recommend, if you have a sensitive stomach, to drink this stuff.

Topically, I didn’t really notice a difference, but then again I was not being consistent with the application. I think it’s also important to note that I probably didn’t see a difference because I suffer only mildly from acne (used to between 0 and max 3 pimples at a time).

What I DID find that worked to calm acne AND in the process completely combat my oily forehead and black heads around my nose, was benzoyl peroxide! Also, using gentle face wash and moisturizer, from acne.org

I wish I could have found the natural solution like you! I think I might try a honey mask every once and a while. Seems like it would be very soothing on the skin!

@Lulume:  I googled, and makeupalley came up with over 500 reviews rating honey a 4.5 out of 5. That is pretty darn good! All the reviews rave about honey for cleanser and treatment mask. It makes sense that it would work for acne since it is antifungal, antibacterial and so good for skin and body! I have a jar of honey at home and I am so trying this today. I will let you know how I like it!

@Lulume:  thanks! I’m so excited to see how this goes. I’ve also used the ACV topically like a PP and it cleared my skin up like gold for about a week and then it started breaking out again. I was so disappointed, I have tried almost everything you can imagine! I really hope this helps, thanks for the post!
