You have enough months of not drinking that I think a person could go crazy not drinking during the TWW. And it is not like you are getting wasted, just a few glasses of wine throughout the week. You have to do what you are comfortable with.

Thanks ladies, this is making me feel much better! I just got myself so psyched out about everything this month, but I agree that disrupting my regular life makes things feel so much worse. And just in case, I did buy a bunch of early detection test strips online, in case I make myself crazy again next month too!

I agree completely with this! Though I try to drink a little less during the tww, I definitely don’t restrict myself. It would make TTC feel almost too serious I think, and we’re trying to take out lightly to keep the stress down.

I was SO SO SO convinced I was getting AF I had a glass and a half of wine the night before I got my BFP. Whoops! But you and baby don’t share blood supply until the placenta gets up and running, so as long as you don’t get too crazy, I’d say drink ’til it’s pink is perfectly acceptable. Like you said, it makes TTC all the more difficult if you have to severely alter your life. Wait until you actually get that BFP to do that, then you’ll have plenty of time to not drink :). Mother nature is sure clever, bc she makes me gag at the smell of beer, booze, coffee, etc. now. Wine–I still miss it a little, but worth it for our little jelly bean! 🙂
