Oh it’s totally stuff my friends and I think about! I had a friend in college who we called EB b/c of her name. She got married and we call her EBD now! We just added the letter of her new last name. I also have a very good friend from high school who I still call by her maiden last name. We both have the same first name…so she always called me by my maiden last name and I did the same for her. Nothing really changed after we got married. She’s still in my phone that way too. Good thing our husbands don’t take offense :o)

My current intials are DAT.  How cool.  It’ll change to DAH.  How bland.  Hahaha.  Also, my nickname Sassy Tart is a part of who I am as well.  Tart = four first letters of last name.

My initials become the same as DH’s. I was KLW and now I’m KLS. I suppose monogramming would be cheap!
I completely felt like I lost my identity! At work, they recently changed their email system, so it’s first inital.lastname. Well, mine became what Darling Husband uses for his personal email. It felt so completely strange to use that because I’ve always associated it with Darling Husband. Reeeeeeeeeallyy felt like I lost a part of my individuality!

His last name and my middle name actually have the same first initial, so my initials will change order but not letters.  I’m really happy about that because the signature I use on all my artwork is a symbol made out of my initials.  Now I don’t have to change it.  🙂

I guess I thought of my new initials when I started thinking about what to do regarding a name change.  My initials aren’t anything cool but they’ve been mine all my life.  *sniffle*

My new initials are going to be SLO.. and when I first started dating my Fiance, I made a comment to my mom about how if I ever married him my new initials would spell “slow.” She laughed and said, “Oh, how appropriate.” Yell

My initials are JR now which is kinda fun. As exciting as it was to change my name, it definitly takes some adjustment. I liked how I signed my name before now I’m having to learn a new signature. It’s interesting how the seemingly little things, or even major things that you are excited about, really affect you.

Actually I’ve been married for almost six months and I just realized last night that for months I’ve been signing my old initials at this program I work at where things have to be signed off. It totally blew my mind that I never even thought of it.
