I believe that would be criticizing other people’s wedding choices. There are also several inaccuracies stated as facts on that site, but that’s beside the point.

@joya_aspera:  I agree with this. I get where you’re coming from OP, however, the article kind of sounds like I’m stupid for purchasing a diamond ring instead of moissanite. Even though mine was purchased at a pawn shop for munch much less than a brand new one. And yes, most of these “facts” are untrue.

also, as a pawn shop worker, we give extra money for diamonds and absolutley nothing for moissanites, so that in itself is a incorrect assumption.

I always find it odd when people criticize diamonds based on De Beers’ near-monopoly of the industry… Don’t Charles and Colvard have a monopoly over moissanite at present and thus have the same ability to over-inflate the price?

Don’t get me wrong, I like moissanite but it is patented and the price will likely drop once other companies can make it.

It does seem to be more about criticising diamonds than it is about how great moissanite is… the name of the website is DiamondsSuck.com!

@MrsBearToBe:  Wow, everyone seems so grumpy today! Your title clearly states who your post is aimed at ‘Bees who need help convincing their SOs that moissanite is the way to go’, and those Bees might benefit from your link. It doesn’t seem like the people that have posted so far are in the category of people you’re trying to help.

You can’t delete your original post, but you can probably edit it to remove the information and link to prevent anymore bashing!

Don’t feel bad – you were trying to help.
