@Daisy- I can tell you places in Seattle if you are planning to make a trip down… but I know there are some Canadian Bees and they might be able to point you in the right direction.

I’m thinking specifically of Miss Bean who did diy invitations!

I’m from Vancouver too 🙂  Paper Source is American, but the shipping prices really aren’t bad at all!  I ordered most of my paper supplies from them.

I found most of my paper supplies at my local scrapbooking store that has a program that for every x amount you spend, you get y amount off your purchase.  Some places will probably also give you a discount if you’re buying paper in large quantities.

What I did when finding items for my wedding is I looked for different options online and in my city (I’m from Calgary) and compared the quality, amounts available and price. Then I chose the one that was the best! I’m personally also a fan of supporting local businesses, so I tended to try to use them. I only ordered a few token things from the states and that was when the exchange was great.

But since you’re in Vancouver… do you know anyone in Seattle/Washington State that you could mail whatever items to and then make a trip to go and pick them up? But Vancouver is a pretty big place, so I’m sure that if you look the yellowpages or online, you’ll find whatever you need!

Good luck!

Have you tried Michael’s? They have 40% off coupons, and many of the wedding mags have a 25% off your entire purchase coupon. Staples/Business Depot may even be an option for things like card stock… or search out a stationary store (there must be one in Van somewhere!)

I’m on the hunt for a good Canadian paper source too… haven’t really started looking yet, but hopefully something pops up! 🙂

My favorite place for paper in Vancouver is Paper-Ya on Granville Island. http://www.paper-ya.com

Also try Loomis on Main at 1st or W 4th or try Opus on Granville Island. I think they have a website, but I never bothered b/c I lived near the W 4th store. I got most of my supplies here when I was at UBC for school. If you have a valid student ID (or find a friend who does), you can get a discount, too.

I had the same question… I have found it so hard to find good canadian sites to buy from for the wedding.

Its not even the fact of paying the difference in currency, its also paying the duty when it arrives.

I purchased my white 1/2 pint takeout boxes from uline.ca.  They are located in Ontario I think and they have their prices in canadian $$.  The boxes I bought were $15 for 100.  I am located in Newfoundland, so shipping is always crazy expensive for me when I shop online!
