I got him some personalised cufflinks and he got me some earrings. The gifts weren’t a surprise (although the wording on his cufflinks was) but we also wrote each other a letter that we opened the morning of.

I got him a Citizen watch and he got me earrings to wear for the wedding. We both spent a bit so we wanted to make sure the other liked what we picked out…so they aren’t surprises. But we are both having them delivered to each other the morning of the wedding while we’re getting ready.

From him? Probably nothing, lol. He doesn’t think of little gifts however he would be able to make a new door for our house. He does overlook the ‘little’ things, but I wouldn’t change him regardless.

I on the other hand will be buying a leather bracelet off etsy which has a stainless steel scroll wrapped around it. I will have it engraved with ‘Truly Madly Deeply’ which is our first dance song and our wedding date ‘11.08.16’.

If he’s happy with it, I’m happy with that 🙂

@xo_lovebug_xo My husband gave me a sketch of my wedding dress and his suit, by My Dreamlines. It was just amazing! Breathtaking gift that made me cry. He felt pretty chuffed at that. 🙂 He did good!

I’m not planning on getting him anything day of- the wedding is our gift to eachother XD

He’s into little romantic stuff tho so I wouldn’t be suprised to get a small gift. After sending out our invitations, I came home to a box of donuts with a bow just COVERED in all the extra ribbon. I would be really happy with suprise dessert on my wedding day!

I’ve got him a pocket watch. According to my mother, the groom “should” get the Bride jewellery to wear on the day. I’ve got a year to drop hints for that haha

We sort of agreed not to buy each other gifts and we both cheated! I bought him Cartier cuff links and he bought me a special edition Mont Blanc fountain pen.

I think in wealthy circles, the husband traditionally gifted an important parure of jewellery, necessary for a married woman to wear with evening dress. Obviously that never applied to the majority of the population and is outdated now.

I have hinted at some earrings that I’d like, though not sure what he’ll actually do! I’m planning to get him a watch to wear on the day and maybe cuff links too. I found these cool ones on Blue Nile that are made of watch gears that are pretty fun!

I thought about doing gifts, but I have no idea what I would get him or what I would want from him. Probably something ‘personal’ or memorable, not just a random gift or something I want. I do want to exchange notes. I might look through the box of stuff I have saved from our dates over the years and create a collage frame.

I got a diamond tennis bracelet and a fancy pair of white luxe high top sneakers (lol yes, but I have a thing for high tops:) ) . I am obsessed with both. I wore the bracelet on the wedding day, and the sneakers too actually after my feet started to hurt at the reception. Now I wear the bracelet whenever I possibly, appropriately, can. And the sneakers too when the mood strikes.

I surprised him by getting his ring engraved which he loved and a letter. I got a sweet card too. My gift was more… “Thanks for planning the wedding” haha. Jewelry is the way to go because it’s just instantly so sentimental, a wonderful heirloom.

So I won a free boudoir shoot… At some bridal show my sister and I went to. I was thinking of doing that (but nothing too crazy!)  and making him an album and giving it to him the night before since I’ll be staying at the hotel!
