onthewaybee:  Nope!  I had a sip of champagne but that was all.  I wanted to soak in every memory I could – the day was so very special and the conversations I had meant so much to me.  🙂

I kind of wanted to get a little tipsy because I usually need a drink or two before I can dance in public lol

I drank 2 glasses of champagne (very quickly) with dinner and it went right to my head, so I switched to water. After all the formalities (cake cutting, dad/daughter dance, etc), I got a glass of wine from the bar, had about 2 sips . . . and left it on a random table somewhere and never saw it or another drop of alcohol for the rest of the night.

I was on such a natural high that I was dancing up a storm anyway. And I was SO. HOT. that I just wanted ice water anyway.

Still had a blast though! 🙂

I don’t want to get sloppy, so I may have 3-4 drinks over the course of the entire day. If I don’t get to drink until the reception, it’ll be more like 2 drinks max haha.

I have absolutely ZERO plans on getting drunk, wasted, buzzed, tipsy or so much as have a sip of champagne. I don’t like alcohol in any of its various forms and I can’t even wrap my head around why I’d want to be so sloshed as to not even remember my wedding day. Yuck.

onthewaybee:  once dinner was over and the dancing started, you bet the drinks started flowing! we paid for 6 hours of top shelf open bar and I encouraged everyone to take full advantage. The reception ended at 11 and we continued drinking at a nearby bar with a big group of our friends until 2 AM. We were feeling no pain! I was drunk but not wasted, and chugged a ton of water before bed so felt fine in the morning.

I plan on drinking, but I don’t want to get drunk. I want to remember the whole day… And make it to the end and booze makes me sleeeeepy!!!

I had a nice buzz going. My cousin made herself my drink fairy and kept a drink in my hand all night. Just enough so I could let loose and dance all night.

No hangover the next day either! Wedding miracle!

Nope. I wanted to remember everything so I think I had half a glass of wine at the most. Darling Husband didn’t get drunk either. But several of our friends made up for our lack of drinking.

We paid for an open bar so we drank a good amount. I wanted to have a good time and enjoy the day. So I was quite buzzed but I didn’t cross over. Lol.

I was sober until probably the last hour of the reception!  Didn’t drink a drop until dinner and then had only about one glass of one through the whole night.  At the end of the night, everyone was feeling good, and I wanted to be on their level so I started to drink a bit more – probably had 2 or 3 glasses of wine at the end of the reception.  So yea I got tipsy and then at the after party (just friends hanging out in the hotel rooms after) I got drunk!  My husband was a little tipsy before I was but still totally under control.  All in all, I’d say our alcohol intake was right on the money!

I was worried I might get too tipsy but I was too busy dancing and taking photos and talking and listening to speeches– I barely ate my dinner and I had drinks brought to me but I didn’t finish any of them. I didn’t even take a sip of our “champange”. I wish I had made it to the bar because I wanted to see our cocktail sign in action (haha I don’t know why that matters but I spent a lot of time on it and it was so cute) and meet the bartenders (It took forever to find the right company and they knocked it out of the park). I actually wish I had drunk a little bit more! (but not so much that I was drunk)

Lord knows I tried lol. I think in total I drank 3/4 of a bottle of champagne and 2 beers. For some reason I was more drunk on the car ride home than at the reception itself, which is whatever to me.

onthewaybee:  definitely under the influence, but not drunk, I think. Here’s a breakdown :

-glass of wine while getting ready

-signature cocktail during cocktail hour

-champagne during cocktail hour

-2-3 glasses of wine during a very long dinner

-champagne toast with dessert

-Limoncello after dessert

So I  had like 8 drinks, but it was over a 7-8 hour period, so I didn’t feel it.

ETA: On a similar note, we definitely ate during the reception! It was a 6 course meal and I definitely tucked in!

I definitely do not want to get drunk. Tipsy yes. Our wedding is New Years Eve so drinking will happen. Probably just have some wine and champagne.

Hubby to be will drink, but it takes him a lot to get drunk so I highly doubt he will be drunk. But who knows!
