- Wedding: July 2012 - The Gables Inn, Santa Rosa, CA
onthewaybee: Ha! I had three separate people ask me if I was pregnant at my wedding! I wasn’t drinking and so they just assumed as much…
In reality I was wearing a 15 lb dress in 90 degree heat outdoors in July… I was more worried from passing out due to dehydration than anything else, so I stayed away from anything that wasn’t water! 🙂

I certainly plan to drink… after a certain time! I think once all the formalities are finished at the reception and its time to party and dance, I’ll be increasing my consumption. I don’t plan to drink during the day (don’t like champagne or mimosas) so I’ll save it for party time. And I don’t plan to get drunk, just a lil tipsy!

onthewaybee: No, I think the excitement was rather sobering. I was definitely drinking enough to get me tipsy!

I had no intention of getting anything beyond slightly tipsy, but I didn’t sleep much the night before or eat very much while getting ready (I was too excited). During dinner I tried to eat but my dress was pretty tight, and then they screwed up our chicken entree (serving it covered in bell peppers when Darling Husband is allergic, and we told them in almost every email that we didn’t want them anywhere on the menu), so I was so frustrated that I didn’t eat my entree.
I had about 3-4 glasses of wine, and that usually would have been “a bit tipsy” but it was closer to between tipsy and drunk by the end of the night. Not messy drunk — just more than a little buzz. In the end, Darling Husband and I had an incredible night, so no regrets 🙂
