Work! I swear I told myself I didn’t want to meet anyone there because I didn’t want it to affect my growth or reputation. We got engaged around the same time he was leaving the company and that’s when I told the whole world who I was marrying! ๐Ÿ™‚

I moved to a foreign country for work and didn’t speak the language.  The company sent him to pick me up at the airport when I arrived because he was the only one who spoke English.

We originally met on OK Cupid, and went on two dates before he slept through our third date (he works on call and his alarm didn’t go off.. I didn’t get it at the time but i do now lol. I didn’t show up to be clear, just texted to confirm and never heard back. I was like screw this guy, he isn’t serious, and lost his number.

i was disappointed because i liked him a lot and thought he had potential , but i was sick of guys playing games. He was the first guy I ever stood my ground with lol!

we reconnected on tinder about a year later and he said how he felt guilty and regretted it the whole time and wanted to message me but felt bad.. and the rest is history. It’s been 3.5 years now.

We met at university. I had seen him around and thought he was attractive, though we’d never spoken. He was also always with this other girl, so I thought he was taken.

One day the weather was really bad and I decided to wait at the entrance for my lift club driver to pick me up. I didn’t want to have to walk through campus in the rain. When I got to the gate, one of the guys who travelled with me was talking to his brother. He turned up and we struck up a conversation.

But then, when he left, he forgot to ask for my number ๐Ÿ™ˆ. It was the last day of lectures before exams and the holiday, so I knew I wouldn’t see him again for a couple of months.

The following day, the guy that I travelled with messaged me to say that his brother asked for my number for him.

I suppose the rest is history. We’ve now been married for a year and a half and expecting a baby boy in August ๐Ÿ˜Š.

    We met at a brothel.

He was the customer and I was trying to pay off some bad gambling decisions.

My best friend introduced us, he was a longtime friend of her husband, and she realised he had loads in common with me, so she engineered a meeting. A few group “dates” later, and we started meeting up on our own.

Work! I was in grad school and interning, he was one of 5 or so people I’d occasionally work with. I graduated a few months later, and began working at the same place. We became friends, and then later began dating.

We matched on tinder but never greeted each other (more like he said hi but i never replied back), turned out we have a mutual and he asked this friend for my contact.

he contacted me but i barely talked to him cause i was seeing other guy, he kept asking for a date but i never said yes, then things didnt work out with the other guy so i said yes when he invited me for coffee just a token of appreciation for his persistency, turned out he was a total catch lol 2 months later we became official and he proposed 3 months after that, and got married 9 months later.

We transfered to the same high school on the same day, we were 15. Stayed friends (even though I always kind of had a crush on him) until we were 18, then we tried to date, but you know, wrong place wrong time. Stayed good friends throughout, then he came to visit our hometown on his 24th birthday so I offered him my apartment as a crash pad. The rest was history. We’ve been married for 5 years now.

I used to work as cabin crew for an airline and on flight a fellow crew member (we rarely flew with the same person as the airline is so big) approached me because she was dating a man of the same nationality as me and recognised my accent right away, it turned out that man was friends with a man I used to date and so we started chatting and she invited me out for her bday! We all went out for her bday and I met my husband, at the time though I had no interest in him or any immediate attraction tbh! They stopped dating very shortly after but we all remained friends. Long story short, 17 months later after developing said friendship we started dating and 16 months later were engaged ๐Ÿ™‚

lauralaura123 :  we were volunteering in college at an apple orchard one weekend. I was in charge of one campus organization volunteering that day, and he was in charge of the other! We didn’t start dating until several months afterwards but I still remember stopping to see my mom that night and telling her I had met the coolest guy that day!

A friend’s Halloween party. This friend is a mutual of myself and his twin sister.

He was a sexy cat. I was a very lazy rendition of a clown, aka I just threw on a curly yellow wig and some fake glasses over my real glasses. I did a body shot off of him before even introducing myself.

We both had quarter life crises that involved breaking up with long term SOs and being unhappy in our current careers. We both decided we needed a break from life, quit our jobs, and went to go ‘find ourselves’ on solo backpacking trips in Central America. We ran into each other in Nicaragua and that was the end of the solo travels for both of us… Now we’re married, living in Australia, and expecting our first child in October!
