Victoria Beckham cat eye sunglasses. Or a really nice Longchamp.

We’re in the same boat and are both pretty conservative by nature. While we make a good living, we’re trying hard to get out of student debt and squirrel away money for our impending addition. However, for my birthday this February I wanted a decently nice watch and got a Marc Jacobs watch. It wasn’t crazy expensive but was definitely the biggest splurge I’ve ever gone on.

I would ask for a designer work out outfit. The designer brands are very nice but I can’t bring myself to spend designer money when Nike and like priced brands works well. But the designer stuff has perks like reflective fabric, stronger fabric, pockets!, better stretch and breath-ability. I know I would get plenty of use out of it. If I chose an actual outfit or accessory I would worry about messing it up or it working with the rest of my wardrobE

I would get a really high quality, classic watch.  You’ll have it forever and will use it everyday.  I still wear the diamond bezel watch my parents gave to me 20 years ago.  Classic, functional and beautiful.

I would probably get a good quality rose gold watch to match my ring. Something I could wear for years. I love fashion and dress well, but I choose mid-range designers and watch for sales because I’m very fickle and get tired of things easily, and I also am clumsy and have been known to spill, rip, or wash something in the wrong load.

Purses and boots are the two things I splurge on. I find that designer brands last much longer than normal department store brands and you get a lot of use out of them both. (Well, not boots if you live in a warm climate.)

JUST ONE?!?! I can’t! So here are my dream items in no particular order:

Black lined Burberry Trench Coat

Louboutin shoes (not pracitcal as I never wear heals but I would wear those! )

Nancy Gonzalez Crocodile bag, or as a “cheaper” version a Brahmin blue leather croco bag

I’m a Cartier junkie so I would totally get a new ring or bracelet, or I would get a ysl bag, they’re really nice quality and striking and a better price point than Chanel.

NBee:  I would say get a nice quality watch or quality leather purse. Something that has a style that you can wear/carry for years to come! Styles and prices vary by brand so I would say look around at all different brands!

It depends on what kind of item you need. I wouldn’t suggest buying a designer item just because it is designer.. if that makes sense. If you need a purse, for example, I would recommend a Louis or if you like something more fancy, than a Chanel. Get a classic style so that you can use it for years to come.

If you like shoes, then get a Manolo pump or perhaps a pair of Louboutins.

Personally, I don’t buy very expensive clothing since I’m still pretty young & my style is bound to change. I also can’t recommend jewelry, since I don’t wear any.
