We went to Kevin jewelers and the ring I picked out was tagged with a 10k price tag but after discounts and bargaining, it came down to 3500$. But before that, I was expecting a ring in the 5k-6k range So I guess that’s what I would have spent on mine.

Between 5 to 8k max for a diamond.

If it’s an amora gem, it would be about 2k

I would have spent ZERO and used an heirloom ring I already own (emerald cut solitaire). I thought that was the plan until DH surprised me. He wanted to pick something new out himself. Pretty adorable and the ring is gorgeous, but we could have paid off the student loans with what he spent…

If I was to buy a new e-ring now, I probably would spend around 30k because we are in a good place financially and we can.

He spent about $13-14k on my e-ring. He had the money and chose everything- platinum and diamond setting and a really nice diamond. I probably woudn’t have spent that much- maybe 5-7 k.

His budget was about 2k for the whole bridal set, but he ended up spending about 3k for the set because it was the “perfect ring.” My ring was a retired style, so it was on sale for a steal–but I would have paid the original price for the bridal set (about 5k). I just can’t justify spending more than 5 or 6k on a piece of jewelry when I think about all the other things that money really could go to (vacations, clothing, purses, a house, etc)!

I love jewelry! And maybe a year or so ago I would have been willing to spend up to 10k for a ring, but saving up for a house has made me very frugal. Now I’d probably spend no more than $200.

$100…haha I’m so cheap. Fiance turned his nose up at every ring I suggested. He said they were emabrassing. My ring cost about $1000 and I think that’s too much for me. I work with my hands and I’m worried about something happening to it.

Fiance landed at about 6k with a generous discount, as the jeweler is a family friend. I love it but would never expect him to spend that much!! I was thinking more along the 3-4K ballpark
