Okay so I’m not far along at all but ages ago before I was even married my sister and I did the string/ring test all the time and each time we did it on me it said boy first. I’m wondering how accurate that would be so so far these are what wives tales would equal according to myself so far.
Chinese gender prediction according to babycenter=Boy
No morning sickness just a bit of nausea here and there=boy
We’ll definitely find out the gender. I hope its a girl but if not I’ll be happy with a boy too and I know Darling Husband would be ecstatic!

If that helps, all of your signs (except for the string / ring test, which I never did) for me were pointing at a boy – and now I have the cutest girl ever. Congratulations and happy and healthy 9 months!

kbequette08: I have done the chinese gender predictor for every single person I know with kids and it was right for everyone so I really believe in that lol. It says girl for me So we will see 🙂

i don’t understand the chinese gender prediction. the chart shows that EVERYONE who conceives in the same month who is the same age is going to have the same gender.

ajillity81: I know, right? That never made sense to me.
OP, no morning sickness in my experience is a lot more about genetics/being lucky than it is about gender. My mother never had it, and had two girls, same with my aunt.
I’m split though. Cravings, acne, how i’m carrying and just my general “gut feeling” says girl, but the Chinese predicter, heartrate, and my lack of morning sickness point to boy.
I’m actually hoping for a boy, but am very sure it’s a girl. Oddly, now that I’ve convinced myself it’s a girl I would feel so weird finding out it WAS a boy!

kbequette08: I carried my girl high and my boy low, so that old wives tale was true for both of my kids. I think their heartrates followed the heartrate one too. I didn’t do any other “tests” like the ring on a string, or know of any other old wives tales. I had bad morning sickness (all day long) with both so that wouldn’t have indicated one way or the other.

All of the old wives tales that I tried were wrong.
I was sure I was pregnant with a girl. I had also read that if you have a lot of morning sickness than it is suppose to mean a girl, I still have moring sickness at 28 weeks but nope I’m having a boy.

I did all of those things you did except the ring string one. My answers were also exactly the same as yours. I now have a happy, healthy, and adorable 5 month old daughter.
Not gender related but the old wives tale about heartburn and having a baby with a lot of hair I believe. I was popping tums like it was my job towards the end and my little girl came out looking like a tiny Elvis impersonator.
