disbeeprincess :  I know what you mean, I kind of feel the same way! Even though I know my stone is only a bit above average size, it sometimes looks huge to me. I don’t think I’d go much larger personally. Maybe it’s a 1.25 thing? It doesn’t sound like it’s much above a carat but that extra quarter carat makes a big difference.

No one’s ever told me my ring looks bigger than it actually is, but I’m always impressed! It’s 0.6cts IMG_2477-1

I think my ring looks bigger than it is because I have small fingers and a halo. My center diamond is 1.28 carats and I wear a size 3.75 ring. I think it looks at least like a 1.5 carat or even 2 carats.

I 💯 get the mirror thing too. I look at it on my hand sometimes and I go, “oh I love it,” and then I see it on me in a mirror and I’m like “WHOA. That looks monstrous.”

I feel like when I catch it on an angle, it looks much bigger:

5.75 finger.

I don’t know what size it looks, but it looks big to me.

Combination of my 3.5 size fingers and the halo make it look bigger. Center stone is 0.7 and total weight is 1.6.

I think occasionally mine looks slightly larger. Its a .91 center, when I chose it I did look at diamonds that had a larger mm coverage (and later learned that’s not necessarily a good thing for light and cut purposes lol).

.72 centre stone and ring size 4. I get a lot of compliments that it looks “so big” but it’s all in the small hands haha!

mrsb113 :  I often think that my little 0.50 looks bigger than it really is, maybe that’s just wishful thinking you girls tell me! Finger size 5.5 Xx

Don’t mind my dry hands!! My ring is just under a carat (.90? I think?) and I wear a size 3.75. I don’t actually know if it looks any bigger than it is, but I like it regardless!

I’ve been told by friends/family/close coworkers that my ring looked “huge.” I think it looks larger than .92 carat because of the finger coverage (3.25 engagement ring, 3.5 wedding band). It’s roughly equivalent to the finger coverage of a 1.5 carat on a size 6 ring finger.
