son/SO/family, work, household, friends, hobbies.
To be fair, I don’t really have a lot of hobbies. And depending on the time, some of those waffle back and forth. Work isn’t always my second priortity but it usually is. There are times where friends take precident over housework/the running of my household. Kind of depends on the stage of life i’m in at the time.

SO, work, family, hobbies, friends.
I guess it sort of depends on what we’re talking about though. Like if Darling Husband, family or friends were having an emergency and really needed me, I’d leave work and drop my hobbies to be there, but as far as general maintenance of the relationships, this would probably be my order. I’d like friends to be higher, but I just don’t get to see them much, so I tend to be a homebody and do hobbies.

happybridetobe1988 : Husband/Family, Work, Friends, Hobbies (I don’t really have any hobbies right now). I do value my life outside of work more than work (I work to live, not the reverse), but it does take priority. I fortunately have a job that I don’t take home with me, which helps 🙂

I’m going to add family & housework in on mine too.
Family (for me my daughter)
If I could banish housework forever I would. It’s a necessary evil. I’m working on convincing my FH that we will totally need a cleaner for the new house because he went crazy with the square footage.

I work enough to pay the bills. Whatever. Work is so peripheral to me. My job isn’t even what most people would consider a “real job” as I take people out on adventures. Fostering a love for the natural world and discovery with my children and my Darling Husband is my life’s main priority.

My So, Hobbies, friends, school, family, work.
I work full time and while it’s not my favorite, it works for now. I’m also in school full time.
Onw of my best friends lives 4 hours away. The other lives closer but it’s a weird relationship. My co-workers are great but we rarely hang out with each other outside of work. I am naturally an introvert and don’t have many close friends.
One of my hobbies is video games and it is what I’m going to school for.

This is hard!
Hobbies / Travel / Exercise / Housework
Family (no kids)
Fiance and I always work to put each other first. Work is really important to me, especially since I recently started a new job. Luckily my Fiance and my friends are all very focused on their careers right now too, so everyone understands and it doesn’t feel like I’m sacrificing my personal relationships. I try hard to put in time with my friends to maintain those relationships and be there for them (even when there are other things I need/want to be doing or if I’m really tired).
Family comes last because while I love my parents, brother, grandmothers, etc — I’m just not in the phase of life right now where they play a very big role.

My best friends are actually involved with one of my main hobbies, playing in a band, as is my SO. I like spending time with friends, but SO comes firts and I like being with him best. ‘Hobbies’ include my time alone, which I cannot do without. I actually like and care about my work, but I work to live, not the other way around. Cool thread. 🙂
EDIT: Family/dog would be second, just under SO.

Honestly I prioritise different things/people at different times dependinonnthe situation. Friend is going through a really hard time? I would cancel plans with my SO to be with them. Have to meet a deadline at work or lose my job and OH is sick? Unless he’s at death’s door work gets prioritised as we couldn’t afford to be without the income. Etc.
In general though my SO takes priority, so if for eg he was equally as sick as a friend I would priotise him over my friend.

School, SO, Work, Hobbies.
I have one friend, if she called me during the day and I was at class, I’d call her back asap. She lives super far away. I guess she’s #1 if she ever needed me.

- Wedding: March 2018 - The Venue, Barkisland, UK
I used to have: horse, SO, work, friends, household, hobbies
These days I have SO, fitness, work, friends, hobbies, household
I’ve split fitness out from hobbies just because it’s such a big part of my life, whereas a hobby to me would be something like knitting which I haven’t done in ages – we have young cats and they make it harder than it needs to be.
Like PP have said, it does depend on circumstances. I’d drop everything else for a friend in need, or if sh*t hit the fan at work, or SO needed extra support.
