moonyla83:  Thank you very much!  It is David Tutera for Mon Cheri. It’s from the Fall 2014 line so you could probably find it for a steal here soon! I love that it is different, but still sort of classic in its own way.

ETA: Also, you can’t tell from this pic, but the train has a layer of sequins under the layer of tulle so it SPARKLES WHEN YOU WALK.

My third dress and absolutely the one!  Sorry, only pictures from back, front pics have too many other people in them.

The first                                                                                          The onePicMonkey CollageMy first choice and first dress was from DB but the whole experience was just off. I had a bad consultant and after my appointment I kept staring at the picture. The more I looked at it the more I disliked it. I felt like I looked stocky and wide but I really did like the dress. I was stuck on it until I put on THE dress! It was the second dress that I put on at my appointment at a private bridal salon. I felt beautiful, tall, and slim. Now I can’t picture myself wearing anything else in two months!

The first silhouette I tried is on the left (drop waist, corset closure with chiffon skirt) Vs ‘the one’ on the right, classic and clean lines in a princess style in Mikado- by Augusta Jones. I don’t have a finished product of my ‘One’ though as this is just one i tried in store (mine will have some extras like a bow and pearls around the waist).

kisa15:  Thanks! I always scoffed at people on Say Yes to the Dress who were there to buy mermaids because I thought that style makes everyone’s hips look bigger than they actually are. AND I am a bit self-conscious of my body AND din’t want anything resembling a sexy wedding dress- I even thought the dress makes the model wearing it look bigger! And then what do I end up buying? A mermaid of course. Haha
