Remember that episode on SATC when Carrie finds Adiens ring. The pear shape on a yellow gold band. That pretty much sums it up for me

@mrssoontobeh:  That was what I thought, too!! I would hate to get anything with a million side diamonds or accent stones… And I’m not a fan of halos. Hoping for something simple with a fun band. 🙂

@linssi:  I was really confused when my Fiance gave me a blue diamond ring. I thought he giving me a sapphire ring as a present (we had never discussed marriage and had been together only 6 months). He then told me it was a blue diamond (I had never seen one before) and I realized what was going on. Duh!

@mrssoontobeh:  I’d second that. I’m totally not into really chunky, blingy rings for myself.

I also would have been completely non-plussed if Darling Husband had bought me a modern Ring Bearer or princess solitaire. They’re just not me.

I know they’re very popular here, and certainly can be very beautiful, but halo’s are definitely not for me.

I want a solitaire (to pair back to a sparkly wedding band)….and of course my mom says she hates solitaires.

I don’t like the band…it’s way too chunky for me! I don’t mind the diamonds or anything, though. It’s just the shape and width of the band.

Three stone engagement ring. I’m NOT saying they’re ugly because they’re not, they are just not me, at all.

Angelina Jolie’s big emerald thing. I don’t care how many carats it is- no thanks.

Not a fan of really big gaudy-looking ones for me.. They kinda look like costume jewelry sometimes 🙂

Also, while we were shopping my SO found one that he really liked but I was less enthused about. It wasn’t the stone I wanted and it was kinda cool looking but not something I wanted to wear every single day you know?
