RobbieAndJuliahaha :

Who tags you in those FB names list post like…

The people with this name will give birth to triplets next year or something equally as stupid like the names on this list will shart themselves in public… 😕

My other favourite is the friend who will talk in practically a whisper when its a normal conversation about a safe topic but as soon as you’re talking about what your gynecologist told you at your last appointment, their questions and statements end up being so damn loud that the people standing on the other side of a three lane freeway can hear every word!!!

The hilarious friend who always knows how to cheer you up.

On the other side of the coin, the new friend who seems amazing until she tells you that she usually doesn’t spend much time with women because “guys are just so much more laid back/less dramatic.” Instant facepalm.

The one friend that always has to one up you. Having a shitty day? Well it can’t be as bad as the day she had.

The “more the merrier” friend. She’s the one that invites you out to dinner or to an event and when you arrive there are three other people there that you don’t know, that are other friends of hers. Sometimes, they don’t know each other, either. After about the third time that this happened, I just always assume that our outings will be a mixed group of random strangers and people I may have met at a prior outing. It’s kind of fun.

That friend who is always involved in the latest “get rich from home” marketing schemes. I love you but no, I don’t want your Tupperware, leggings, makeup, or essential oils.

That friend who always gets asked out by random guys and then acts like its the craziest thing. “you’ll never guess what happened to me today!!” “Hmm, let me guess, you got asked out by a random?”” YES!?! WTF, i hadn’t washed my hair and my makeup was a mess… it was so weird!” AND then complains about being single. UGH. haha Good thing shes genuinely an amazing woman lol

I have several of these friends that the Bees have described – the chronically late friend, the one upper friend, and the always gorgeous friend.  In my group I’d be considered the backbone friend.

A couple of years ago I decided to back away from a longtime friend.  She was the friend where I was the one that constantly had to keep the friendship going.  She went out if I was the one to call to make plans and it seemed like she genuinely enjoyed my company.  But she never made the effort to contact me.   I brought it up to her a few times and she acknowledged that she was very flaky in that area, and I found out through other people that she never had to make an effort in any of her friendships, that she was the one always called.  Regardless, it still hurt my feelings.  A mutual friend told me she was hurt that she wasn’t invited to my wedding, but if she didn’t take the time to contact me in 2 years, why would I invite her?

MsBeer :  Yes! Totally hinders our personal talks & catching up.

A few years ago, though, she threw a “friends” birthday party… she knows 6-7 people (including me & her daughter) who have the same birthday. So she threw us all a birthday party. Met a couple new “friends” that night. Lol.

Jannigirl: uh the bday party and inviting a lot of people seems very normal to me, why not? Like you want just the same 3 people every time? I think your friend is fabulous for trying to get people to branch out and make new friends every time.
