I don’t have names chosen, but I have ones that are never going to be used. Gus, Maude and George. My fiance likes these names a lot, but he is no longer allowed to help name our future kids.

Well fi and i havent talked about this yet. We’re planning ttc after the wedding,  so depending on how long it takes…. I’ve never claimed names to my siblings and didn’t pick out any kids names when I was growing up like my sisters did.

Still now that I’m getting married and we do plan to ttc,  it’s more of a reality and I’ve been considering it.

I love family names,  so I’d love to pick names that are from each family.

For a girl,  his mom’s middle name is Eleanor and I love that name and it’s nicknames.  So I’d pair it with something from my family like Jean, Vivian,  or Edith.  Actually,  I really like Eleanor Edith as a name. Fi has a complicated relationship with his mom.  He was joking with his brother this weekend that if his mom ever absolutely needed a place to live,  she could move into the house,  but we’d be moving into an apartment lol.

Same thing for a boy’s name.  I love my grandpa’s name,  Harold,  and would pair it with something from fi’s side.  Maybe his dad’s name,  Peter.  Meh I’m less fond of that combo. Well have to put some effort into picking names.

TBH,  I’d really like to name a kid Phineas if I could persuade fi.   Im still a fan of that TV show lol and if our future kids are anything like their dad,  they’ll be really smart and fearless.

I’ve been thinking about baby names for waaayyyy too long and I’m not even married haha. I just love names! Our favorite so far is Riley – either Riley Belle or Riley Marie. I’m also really keen on Sawyer for a girl but Fiance vetoed that quite quickly haha.

Aw this is cute 🙂 If we have a girl, it’s going to be Brenna Marie. The name Brenna was a happy accident – I taught a little girl named Brenna and I loved the name immediately (which is, hilariously, the exact same way my mother came up with my name), and, wonderfully, my fiance lit up and gushed about how much he too loved the name Brenna. If it’s a boy, Christopher Joseph, mainly because I like the nickname “CJ” and the name Christopher goes well with our last name, and my fiance wants a son with the middle name “Joseph” – so that worked out well. Our second girl will be Isabel Ann, after my baby sister that died, but we don’t have any other names picked out besides that!

We’re pregnant with our first, a girl who we’re naming Abigail Jo. Husband picked the first name, I picked the middle.

If we ever have a boy down the line he’ll be Keanu something. No idea if we have another girl but we’re starting to think on it now cause I imagine it will take years to agree on anything since my husband said the next one needs to have a “super Hispanic name” for some reason (possibly because the middle name I chose for this one Whited her up)?

I’m white, he’s Chicano. We have different ideas about names, it’s an ongoing saga in our relationship. His legitimate suggestion for our current baby was Valentina Selena, after his favorite brand of hot sauce and the singer.

We’re currently in a name battle and waiting until we find out what we’re having before moving forward any more. I’ll be 7wks on Wednesday and so still have a while to settle on something but so far we both like and can agree on Teagan or Maren for a girl and for a boy we can agree on Jasper, Britton and Tristan.

We probably won’t go with any of those but you never know hahaha

LittleButtons :  The bit about your in-laws thinking the name is about them made me lol. When we announced our name on social media one of my family members suggested I spell it a different way to honor themselves and a grandmother who died years ago that I was not particularly close to. I was like, really? Who does that on a post announcing the name. If I wanted to name her after someone else I would have.

Our kids are going to be Charles for a boy and Celine for a girl. Last name starts with C. If we have more than 1 kid of each gender, it’s gonna be tough to find another name.

We’re not married yet but we talked baby names way before we were even engaged haha. We like Benjamin for a boy just because we like the name Ben… and Rae for a girl (after my Granny, whose name was Ray).
