We are expecting now, although at only 9 weeks along, I don’t know if we have a boy or a girl. We picked names awhile ago.

We love names from mythology and love the name Artemis and since it’s unisex, we’re going to use it for the middle name. For a girl we have Hera Artemis and for a boy Leander Artemis.

Well for the baby,  the names we’ve picked are Peter Lee or Edith Eleanora. We already decided we’re using family names for any future kids and our families are big into genealogy, so we can go pretty far back.

Fav baby names in general are:

Sariah Marian

Josephine Anna

Nessie Grace

Harold Ammon

George Thomas

Charlie Leo

We’re probably one and done after our son, but if we have a second boy, he’ll probably be James (Jamie) Henry. A girl would be Victoria (Rory) Mei.

Henry and May were my maternal grandparents. Our son’s middle name is dh’s paternal grandfather so we’d keep that going with #2! I’d spell May like Mei instead though bc I’m half Chinese (and baby would be a quarter) so I think it’s a nice nod to that—Mei Mei means little sister in Chinese! 😊

LittleButtons :  omg both of your girl names are ours too! D H and I both like Dakota and Dallas for girls.  Middle name will be Jean after my grandma.  My husband and I both have D names so we want to use a D name for a future child.  Dylan is the only one we’ve liked for a boy.

Not going to have kids for another couple of years, but my favourite girls’ names are Eloise and Maya. My fiance is not hugely excited about Eloise, but says it’s growing on him… I’m pretty set on it, so hopefully he gets used to it 😉 I adore the full name and also love Elle and Ellie and Ella as potential nicknames, if those happen to arise. So my plan is first daughter Eloise, second daughter Maya (hopefully we have two daughters, I would love nothing more than a house full of girls!).

When we first started talking about names, we were both really excited about Alexa… but then this whole Amazon Alexa thing came out, and I feel like that made us dislike it! We both also really like Katherine with Kate for short, but it’s too similar to a family member’s name. My fiance loves the name Olivia, but I am not sold on it. I prefer Eloise and Maya 🙂

As for boys’ names, we are thinking Chase. I also love Adam and Erik/Eric, so those are good backups. For some reason I don’t like boys’ names nearly as much as girls’ names…

We’ve been tossing some ideas around since we want to TTC once married… We kind of want something Chinese/Viet leaning but may not go that route:

Son: Benji, Hiro, Eren, Jin

Daughter: Jane, Elliott, or maybe my mother’s name Trinh

Not pregnant but TTC. Put this list together that contains a lot of nods to our grandparents. Maybe too grandpa and grandma?
