I second delete all. I have over a thousand unread messages because I don’t feel like going through and deleting them page by page.

Some way to filter out categories I don’t want to see (ie. anything to do with rings…)

jellybellynelly :  my biggest peeve about deleted threads is when I get a message that someone replied to me and then I can’t go back to the thread! What did they say?!?! Did they think I shared some bit of genius or that I have my head up my ass? I need to know!!

LilliV :  Omg yes! Even if the notification had a snippet of the post or something. Even if you cant reply but could still satisfy your curiosity lol

– An app would be nice for mobile

– Show a person’s response to me in the inbox message so I don’t have to click to open the thread link in another tab

– Quoted text in a reply so I don’t have to go back three pages to see what is being referred to

– Emojis on computer

1. Dark mode for sure! I always use the website on my phone and usually before bed. It’d help, just sayin.

2. When I click to someone’s posts or mine, I check out own threads, see one thread and when I go back, the setting is gone. I have to search for own threads all over again. On the phone it’s a big problem, it may not be on a desktop.

3. I want to be notified if someone replies me or quotes me. I don’t know if it’s already possible, but I never get that. I feel like maybe I’m not responding to people who address me.

I definitely get emails when someone replies to me on a thread that’s not my own, so I’m confused that so many people are unable to do that? I think I enabled that feature when I first made an account.

I want to be able to @ people at their username so badly! Bring on the tagging!

lovelyruby :  yeah I have this enabled too so I get emails with whatever replies from people. I think the @ thing actually does work, I’ve gotten messages when people have done it to me in the past at least. Let me try it out in a separate comment here lol.

As for improvements, I wish posts automatically got closed after like a year of no activity. I hate zombie threads. And if someone actually does want to follow-up on a super old thread, they can start a new one and linked the closed thread or something.

I’d also like the ability to filter out topics I don’t care about. I read an article about a women who had struggled with infertility and then had a stillbirth and it was so painful to her to see all these social media suggested posts and such about pregnancy, babies, etc. I imagine there are people out there who just would rather not see certain kinds of threads for a whole host of reasons.

As for UI, I agree with a PP that I hate that the WB banner is fixed when scrolling. Haaaate. Also hate the acronym expanders but I think we all have for quite awhile lol

I love grad cafe’s forum (much better than Reddit and an improvement on the Bee). Quoting, easy notification badges like fb. You can also block people and do downvotes (thought there not used often).

And yes, whoever said dark mode – YES!

I love how on the BabyCenter forums there’s a dropdown at the top to read only the OP’s comments in the thread. Makes binging juicy threads easier without having to slug through repetitive comments. Also good for reading updates from the OP in general, not just juicy threads, but let’s be real.

We need an app.

An interactive Facebook page and group to redirect us to this site.

A podcast which touches on a little bit of every subject

Advertising that appeals to more than just wedding planning.

Guest speakers from relationship coaches to wedding planners

DIY videos

A way for non-app users (if you get an app) to receive notifications on their phones instead of via email relating to threads.

More interactive moderaters.

An automated “waiting” list allows people to add and remove themselves. That way we don’t need to elect a beekeeper…

I have ideas for days lol inbox me! πŸ™‚
