olivebutton :  Junk food, face mask, hair mask, grungy PJ’s – maximum comfort and lay in bed drinking wine with my cats watching chick flicks.

olivebutton :  I usually eat things he hates, watch trashy TV all I want, and be extremely lazy! I also usually get my nails done or plan a cute outfit for when he returns

I knit and watch bad TV – which I usually do when he’s around anyway, but I don’t have to worry that I’m bothering him. I also take stretch breaks and do 30 seconds of folding laundry during the commercials, instead of folding it all at once.

I love to take naps throughout the day, chill looking like ive seen much better days, talk to the dog, talk to my bestie ln speakerphone while drinking wine at lunch… Same as other bees have kardashians/housewives/ on… I do these things  when he’s home either way but it just feels sooooo awesommmme to be alone once in a while!

When he’s gone I like to watch movies he has zero interest in.

Starfish.

Order delivery, since we usually cook meals together.

Play pop music really loud.

I take advantage of the time apart to do things that I otherwise avoid due to FI’s allergies.

For example, I’ll indulge in foods that my Fiance is allergic to.  These are foods we don’t keep in the house otherwise, and that I won’t prepare or eat around her to prevent cross contamination.

There’s a bath bomb by LUSH that I love, but something in it makes her sneeze like the dickens.  So I’ll enjoy a nice hot bath with one of those.

I’ll binge on TV or movies that she isn’t into. Long phone calls to catch up with old friends.

And I will take advantage of the free time/space to do a bunch of decluttering and organizing. (I actually find this fun!).

olivebutton :

I light the incense that makes  him cough, I eat various things I usually don’t , I revel in having  the remote control  ALL TO MYSELF and  flip channels like a man , only pausing on home renos/house  searches and TV  shopping now and again, and muting all the ads, all the time.

Sleep in the middle of the bed at night… cook and eat food with walnuts and beans (he HATES both of them)… just relish in the quietness and tidiness of the house. It’s so much easier to maintain when there’s only one person here!! I may also throw on some TS because he can’t stand her and it may  be a small guilty pleasure of mine haha!

I sure do miss him when he’s gone though and it’s great having him back ๐Ÿ™‚

Same as most people have said – I eat stuff he doesn’t like or that he doesn’t feel qualifies as a meal – e.g snacking on a cheese plate with baguette from Trader Joe’s and half a bottle of wine as my dinner. And watch trashy TV. It’s funny, I’m the one who cares more about keeping the kitchen clean and when he’s around I make sure the sink is empty and counters wiped down at the end of the night, but when I’m on my own I do let the dishes pile up a bit ๐Ÿ™‚

I binge watched netflix and did whatever I dang well pleased! I also let the dog sleep in my bed… don’t tell my SO ๐Ÿ˜€

SO was on a ski trip this past week, so this weekend I really just watched netflix and had no schedule. He loves to plan things and do things, which is good because he balances out the introvert in me and makes me be social. However, sometimes a weekend full of nothing is just fantastic ๐Ÿ˜€

Omg I just had a weekend to myself as well! Darling Husband was at a bachelor party.

I watched season 1 of the crown. Worked out. then stayed in my pajamas all day.

I also told all of my local friends that I was out of town as well because I really didn’t want to feel obligated to host anyone or go anywhere lol.

It was amazing. I told Darling Husband to go away more often.

I love this! I’m so on board with girly and trashy shows/movies! I also tend to have bonding time with my furry babies. My Future Father-In-Law works out of town often and my Future Mother-In-Law loves it. She eats Chef Boyardee, reads, and goes to bed early.

I used to flop on my couch, watch my shows that he’s not into, and drink wine while snuggling with my kitties.  Now I can’t drink wine so…. hmm.  Maybe eat Thai food instead?  That’s my other go-to treat.  He’s going on a boys’ ski trip this weekend, so I’ll get to try out this new preggo non-wine-drinking version.

Pour a glass of wine, slap on a face mask and deep conditioning treatment in my hair, give myself a pedicure, and watch horrible trash tv/chick flicks.
