I hate to say this on a wedding website, but the day my divorce was final was the happiest day of my life and that event has allowed the happiness to continue.

Pretty cliche but the best day of my life so far was the day my son was born.

Second was my wedding day.

Probably one of the days when I travelled out of the country for the first time. Or maybe one of the days when I was getting to know my husband. Too many options. lol

Probably when I got a perfect score on my performance review for my job after a long streak of bad jobs and not doing so well at maintaining them. My boss said he was lucky to have me.

In hindsight our wedding day was awesome but at the time I was just stressed lol so I can’t say I enjoyed it as much as I should have. Especially the morning.

Last Thursday we found out we’re having A BOY and I was the happiest I’ve felt in a long time. So excited!!!

Christmas in general – my family goes all out and I love seeing everyone happy.

The day I took the train from Paris to Sarlat. It was everything I’ve dreamed about France since I was a child, I was awestruck.

There’s been a few others but you asked for one and I’ve already gone over that limit haha.

Probably the day after my fiance proposed. It was such a sunny day and we went exploring, tried new cocktails and had ice cream by the canal, it was so peaceful and perfect, and just us!

After that probably the day we completed on our house, it was something i never really though we would be able to have!

My wedding day, of course.

The day I graduated college and the day I met my husband were both pretty sweet too 🙂

My two favorite days:

  1. The first Christmas I spent at DH’s mother’s house. I am BIG into holidays, and my parents weren’t, so finding people that loved me, loved traditions, I could shower with gifts and gorge ourselves on delicious food together is pure bliss for me.
  2. Darling Husband & I’s first trip to Manhattan for my 24th birthday. We had a walking our of Central Park architecture, did some shopping, had the best cookie of my life (Dominique Ansel’s Bakery in SoHo) and had the best dinner of my life (Flex Mussels in the Upper East Side).

I have felt a little guilty that my wedding day wasn’t my ~BEST DAY EVER~ but, I wasn’t really super into the wedding show anyway. I would have been just as happy having a courthouse wedding while on a vacation, but Darling Husband said if we eloped, we’d have to have a secondary reception and I’ve always hated those. Along with a lackluster honeymoon, we decided that instead of being ho-hum about it, we would just look forward to the rest of our lives and all of the future trips we can take!

Okay, when I read “the best day”, my 24th birthday comes to my mind. 2 years ago when my sister and I were living in Germany, her friend (who’s almost at my father’s age) came from another city with a big kite for my birthday. I had never flown kites in my life and he took it into consideration. Oh my my!

Not only did we have the best breakfast, but also we had the best road trip into the “Schwarzwald” (Black forest), we did zipline for hours, saw the biggest cuckoo watch in the world, flew kite on endless greenery, had loads of pics hiking with my sister, and ate the best fish in nature.

Day we shook hands that we would buy our house (between the owners, no realtor involved) AND then the day we closed on our house.

Then of course –

Day Darling Husband proposed

Wedding Day

I mention our house because I vividly remember going through a lot of shit with my family and when we got back to DH’s parents house after we just found out the owners were good with our offer on the house, DH’s mom went into the house before us and I turned around to Darling Husband and ran to give him a big ole hug (like the kind where he lifts you up and squeezes hard, so cheesy I know, lol) and we just had a little moment. I explicitly remember feeling free from my parents and my family because we had our own house. Also felt slightly good that Darling Husband and I did it all on our own (with some help from his mom who works in reality) and I finally made a life decision without giving a fuck what my parents thought.

ETA: We were only newly engaged when we bought/closed on our house, not married yet.
