Toss up between seeing Marilyn Manson play The Roxy with Johnny Depp on guitar and getting to sit on stage for the entire show or Marilyn Manson playing Cincinasty on my 27th birthday.
Pretty sure there were also some great Comic Con days with my friends. We used to get up early, go to the Con, spend all day there and then we would go to this restaurant I love that everyone else hates. It’s a children’s restaurant from the 70s that all of the waiters dress up like characters and each booth is a different theme. They have a car that’s been made into a salad bar and a fortune teller and if you ask for directions to the bathroom the staff starts screaming out that you have to poop and everyone should get out of the way.

First was the day our son was born and second was our wedding day. Cliche but true!

My 16th birthday my father booked us front row centre ice tickets to see th Pens play in Pittsburgh, he flew me there, took me to a fancy dinner and booked a suite. I didn’t want a party or a car so instead he spent the money on a lifetime experience which made me feel so special. I will be forever grateful for that gift.
However, my BEST day so far was when I designed an art installation to be displayed in the ballroom at a very important historical location here in Canada and I got to be there in person when it was going up. It was my career dream come true and I was so proud of myself. I will cherish that forever.

I mean…all 3 of my wedding days were pretty amazing. (ex husband, Late husband, new husband). My favorite due to the meaningful nature was my current husband. We involved my daughter in the ceremony and it was so sweet and cool.
My daughter being born was great, but man it was a hard day. She is autistic and life/school has been a STRUGGLE for her. This year she’s in 6th grade and has no special ed supports, and she is rocking 4 As and 1 B on her first progress report. THAT was a happy day because I know she’s doing so well.
In the early parts of my relationship with my now husband, we had a fight and I drove 2 hours to show him how much I cared about him, and woke him up. He was overwhelmed and it was an amazing night. That was pivotal moment in our relationship and one we reference often as our favorite time together.
I’ll stop now becuase I have a lot of good days to reference.

Not my wedding day. It was relatively drama free but I was just so exhausting.
-Graduating on my masters.
– the day Darling Husband proposed. The day was just so perfectly “us”, even though he didn’t intend to propose and certainly not the way I trampled all over it. Still amazing.
– My honeymoon. Yes it’s several days but it kinda just rolled into one.
– weird one. When we had to take our dog to the emergency vets. Once it was all over, I just felt insanely happy to have her and have Darling Husband.
– Christmas alone in our house. We’d had Christmas alone before but it was just awesome in our own house. We took the traditions of our families that we both love and merged them together and dropped all the bits we didn’t like.
– sad but happy ones. I’ve lost 3 relatives recently. Two quite suddenly. I’ve managed to make the cross country trip and have conversations with all of them before they’ve died.

Receiving notice that I’d passed a state licesensing exam for my field. I had worked full time while studying and the pass rate was low. I was with my best friend when I found out, at our favorite place. We went into work and was sent home early to celebrate. That night we celebrated pretty freaking hard.
Lots of other wonderful days, but none others that I had such complete unadulterated joy and relief without having a ton of effort marring the day.

I mean.. there has to be more than just 1
in no particular order:
The day we got engaged
The day we got married
The day my mom got to go home after her quad bypass open heart surgery
The first time my spouse and I said I love you (it was a whole epic weekend)
The day that I was able to buy a brand new king size bedroom set… this is fairly recent, but OH MY GOD… I think all couples should have a king bed… so glorious.
