I know some may disagree with me, but the Younique Fiber Lash Mascara….who has 5 minutes PER eye to get those lashes long? I pop on my false lashes within 30 seconds and I’m out the door in the mornings.

This is really dumb but it’s the only thing I can think of off the top of my head.

I jog and had been eyeing a pair of really pricey running shoes for a while.  I have plantar fascitis and I broke my foot last year so I cheap running shoes just make my feet feel worse.

My boyfriend surprised me with the expensive running shoes, which was super sweet of him.  I’ve worn them 3 times and every time I have, I couldn’t wait to get home and rip them off my feet.  My feet had never hurt so bad.  Fortunately, he got them from a running store that has a 90 day return policy so I brought them back and bought a much less expensive pair that seem to work.

lightchaser:  ugh I feel you on the Fitbit. I had a flex for a while, bt then I got a Garmin activity tracker/GPS watch that does everything the Fitbit does but also can act as a running watch and syncs the time over satellite. Also, as a runner, the Fitbit was pretty useless some days because I would run more than 5 miles anyway. The force seems a little more useful, but still I would pick the Garmin watch any day.

EVERY.SINGLE.EXERCISE equipment I have seen off an infommercial has been overratted.

The  Nutribullet…COMPLETELY Under-rated and I cannot live without it. I put it on the same level as a boyfriend. Yup.

the magic bullet. Fiance bought it for me one christmas and it didn’t work – my “chopped” tomatoes looked like they went through an apple corer.

SWIFFER WET JET. it does a great job of washing my dirt into a pile. it alwayssss leaves dirt on the floor.

Sabra or any other hummus

It’s so expensive and personally my Fiance and I LOVE the Aldi’s hummus (red roasted pepper). It’s just $1.99 vs most stores $3.99+ (and they also have a bunch of flavors but we buy like 3-4 red pepper ones at a time because ew go thorugh it so quick)

RE: Dog products…Kong toys have been great for my dog – the red/black Kongs are great (but wear down over time) and then we got a Kong ball that has a small ball in and it squeaks. WELL – he killed the squeak in less than 2 hours but loves the ball…he’s had it 5 months and hasn’t destroyed it.

We’ve looked into indestrucible beds…I’ved looked at them in store/online. I know he will still destroy it (he’s a shredder..he destroyed our tv remote a few weeks ago…we watched it happened on a recording app we use).

When we crated him we had to leave the bed out because he destroyed it. We leave him out all day for the last 4 months and a couple of months ago he started getting bored and destroying his beds during day. WHen we’re gone he gets an old blanket. We’ve picked up extra beds for inexpensive at TJ/Marhsalls and most recently Aldis ($11.99 & $6.99); we’re keeping them on standby..ha

I feel this way about Bare Minerals make up. I bought it last month and while I like how light it feels, I’m not in love with it. I was expecting more coverage.

Floor STeaming mop. Makes my floor smell great… but leaves all the dirt on the floor. Waste of money.

I bought a cheapie hand-held spiralizer from target for like $10 and I like it INFINITELY better than my Williams-Sonoma spiralizer. Love me some zoodles 😉

Over-rated:

Literally any skincare product I’ve almost ever purchased. I don’t know what I expected them to do to my mid-20’s skin, but I wanted to look like an infant and I never did with them. I realized using argan and grapeseed oil as a moisturizer worked just as well if not better than my $100 bottle of sunday riley luna oil (Specifically overpriced and overrated: Sisley Paris buffing cream, Caudelie Detox Oil, Sunday Riley Luna oil)

Spin classes. I love Flywheel, but it’s not in my budget to take the amount of classes to take to get me the results I want

Kendra Scott jewelry. I’ve had TWO of her necklaces break.

Worth every penny –

Juice beauty eye cream and face cream. They don’t have water in them so they’re super concentrated and feel like silk on my face

Mason jars. We bought 50 jars in varying sizes and we’re replaced tupperware/ziploc bags/pantry storage/to-go coffee cups and so much more. I love using glass instead of plastic.

Ninja blender. I would say it rivals the vitamix at a fraction of the cost and we completely got rid of our food processor because our ninja does it all.

Lulu Lemon leggings. I’m shocked, but they hold up infinitely better than cheaper brands and one pair has outlasted many Old Navy athletic leggings.

Having my hair done at Drybar. I’ve tried twice (curls once, and a fancy braid once), and both times I walked out of there feeling like I could have done a better job myself even though I’m not all that great with hair.

The Fitbit. It does not motivate me at all and I hate wearing a rubber thing around my wrist.

A juicer. It just takes sooo much work to prep, make the juice and then clean the juicer.

Maybelline color tattoo little cream eyeshadow pots.  They hold so well swatched on the back of my hand, but on my eyelids, even with a primer,  they ball up and crease by lunchtime.  Sucks! I can’t use them at all! Also the expensive Too Faced eye primer in a light blue tube container! It’s been a disappointment from the get go.  I bought it few weeks ago and it’s already separated inside the tube.  It comes out in a greasy liquid instead of a cream,  unfortunately too late to return.

Fitbit. That thing is pain stupid,  my Darling Husband has it and it counts “steps ” he never made,  such as riding a lawnmower he collected 10k steps the other day.  He was so proud of it, I didn’t want to say anything though. .. Another time he “made” 12k steps vacuuming our 750 square foot tiny house.  Ugh! Plus who wants to wear an ugly black bracelet every day? Not me.  I love my Striiv, it’s the cutest must accurate,  but very underrated  device ever, awesome interface,  and it has games on it!

What else?  Oh yeah!  Expensive Bare Escentuals mineral foundation powders. They have absolutely no coverage,  make a giant mess out of makeup process and don’t absorb oil.  The dust gets everywhere,  and despite careful application and blending my face looks like an oil slick by noon.
