Westwood:  Same here! Drooled over a beautiful rebecca minkoff in a beautiful minty green color. Color rubbed off in a week…returned for a new one…color rubbed off again. Gave up! Never again.

-Ab Roller back in the day. Ugh just made my knees and back hurt

-Expensive, high end mascara ($25+). Didn’t make my lashes look any better than my favorite Maybelline one.

-Keurig. Used it for a few weeks and realized I didn’t care for the quality and went back to my french press.

Benefit ‘They’re Real’ Mascara – wasn’t any better than my cheap Rimmel one!

WEN! It’s the worst. Makes my hair super greasy and fall out like crazy!

I’m going to say Porefessional by Benefit. I actually recommended it not too long ago on a make up thread. And I wont’ go as far as to say it’s a bad product. But after having tried some lesser known primers, I realized this one was just really over hyped in comparison. If people were more aware of the amazing primers out there, this one wouldn’t stand a chance. I still keep it because for certain areas of my face it works better than others but it’s most definitely no longer my go to primer.

Anything marketed as an eyeshadow primer.  Just dab a little concealer or foundation over your lids, set it with powder, and your eyes will be primed. I have oily hooded eyes, and my eyeshadow doesn’t crease when I do this.

Any and every “blackhead removing” or “pore clearing” face scrub, wash & mask.  They never work for me.  I really want to try GlamGlow, but I can’t justify spending that much on a tiny container of face mud that probably also won’t actually clean my pores.

MOST Glam Glow face masks. The only one I like is “Thirsty Mud”. The rest either made my skin look worse or did nothing at all.

gingerkitten:  I had a nutribullet before buying the vitamix.   I really liked the nutribullet and results I got with smoothies.  However, I LOVE my vitamix and use it at least twice a day between smoothies, salad dressings, soups, and nut butter.  I think it’s just about the investment.  Both give good results but I find the vitamix has more versatility for me and I can make large batches of soup, etc in one swoop.

stardustintheeyes:  +1 to the Porefessional. My Maybelline Baby skin one works SO much better!

Another one for me, Makeup Forever Ulta HD foundation. I know tons of people rave about this one, but it didn’t nothing for me. My skin was so oily within hours I couldn’t deal. Nasty.

ana2017:  I’m so jealous! All it does for me is take up too much room in my already small bathroom! =/

Hodgy527:  I have poo issues, thought it would be my miracle answer. Alas, it does not help. Just takes up too much room in my bathroom! Bummer…

I can’t think of a disappointment right now, so may I add a product that did live up to the ads?

The Breakfast Sandwith Maker. I put the makings for a popular fast food breakfast sandwich in it, and my homemade ones PUT AWAY the ones you can get at the fast food joint.

You can make them with lots of other fixings too. It really does only take 5 minutes! And it’s not just for breakfast.

Any expensive mascara.  I have yet to find any that I can justify the price tag.
