sweetiemermaid :  i need this, I’ve been having a really hard time these past few weeks. We thought we had aftercare for my daughter, then at three pm the day before she was supposed to start school, they told us that she was too young for their program. They took our money and we registered her with her birthdate and everything. I’ve been in crisis mode for weeks

The positive is that my dad and my sister stepped up without me even asking. They have been taking my daughter every day after school while I’ve been calling, emailing, texting etc for weeks trying to find a place that is within our district for a bus, who has space for her, and who can take a four year old.

I finally found someone four days a week who can pick my daughter up BUT it’s a trial run because she’s concerned about making it work for her own kids… so… I’m still anxious. We start with her on Thursday.

So, the positives are that I have an amazing support system, we possibly have a solution to my weeks long crisis, AND I’ve been spending a lot of quality one on one time with my daughter because I’m finding that I feel much better just talking to her and playing with her without being distracted

sweetiemermaid :  It’s the morning where I live too, lol! The best part of my day so far was waking up next to my husband this morning – we’ve been working opposite schedules and I haven’t seen him for the past two days! I woke him up just to say hey for the few seconds I had before I had to get up. We snuggled with the cat and it was awesome πŸ™‚

Good Morning! I completely forgot about a voluntary retirement savings plan I had set up through my work. There isn’t much in it, a little over 1k, but it’s like I just found 1,000 free dollars this morning! I’m moving abroad in 2 weeks so any amount I can add to my safety cushion makes me feel so much more relaxed (yes I know I will have to pay taxes on it blah blah). Plus it totally justifies the $50 I spent on a bouquet of flowers for my mum’s birthday today!

I slept through my alarm and was late for work. I missed two conference calls.

Ive gone through some workshops in the past couple months and saw the transformation/breakthrough happen today.

I was not frantic, I simply acknowledged what was so, got up, texted my colleagues, got dressed, made breakfast like I usually do, and made my way to work.

Previously, I would have made what happened into a story that would have affected me for the rest of the day. I feel empowered.
