Sansa85 :  trying them on for the first time!! I have no idea really what I’m looking for, so I guess I just have some nerves about whether I’ll find something I like. I hope it goes well 🙂

I got tickets for the Hella Mega Tour featuring Green Day, Fall Out Boy and Weezer!!! The best thing is that we are on holiday during all the UK dates, so we got tickets for the Paris show and are gonna fly out for the gig! It’s definitely the most extreme concert-related thing I’ve ever done, and my 16 year old self would be SO proud that adult me isn’t boring and sensible 😀

Sansa85 :  Ugh, I saw your post about that! I can’t even imagine the stress of that. I’m so glad you’re family stepped up to help out, and I hope your trial goes well.

missmollybee :  I couldn’ve woken up without my husband this morning. He’s on my shit list. But, in true passive aggressiveness, I let the dog snuggle with me in bed on my side after he left. (No dogs on the bed rule)

caitlinbee : Congratulations! That’s such a huge win!! I think I need these workshops in my life…. Most days I can let things roll off my back, but when PMS is poking its ugly head around the corner, all bets are off.

beginningless :  Wahoo! The first time trying on dresses can be a little intimidating, but deep breaths!! It can be a lot of fun, and it’s interesting to see how they fit. Formal, wedding gowns are such a drastic difference in fit and feel from everyday clothes. It’s a bit jarring at first, but you’ll do great! Stay open minded, and I recommend not taking a zillion people. The smaller you keep your peanut gallery, the less anxiety you should feel.

MargaritaVille :  Thanks for the advice!! I’m just bringing my mom for my first try-on experience so the peanut gallery is limited to one (albeit opinioned) person :D… if I find a few that I like, I’ll come back with a couple close friends.

I’m not sure how others do it but hopefully it works out. I’m trying to be open minded and not self conscious/body shame myself!

beginningless :  Good luck! I hope she is able to give you her opinion in a supportive way. I had a great team with me fortunately, but I’m also not super sensitive to other people’s opinions in general. But I have seen poor future bride’s family and friends rip them to shreds and it’s heartbreaking. I had many appts, but due to several factors, ultimately the dress I ended up choosing was at a last minute appointment I went to alone. Just be confident in yourself and stick to your guns of what you want and what makes you feel good and you’ll find the dress you love. This site is littered with dress regret posts. It’s okay to take your time and sleep on things, and it’s even okay to get a dress your family doesn’t love but YOU DO.

I’ve realized the cure to my morning confusion is a good old-fashioned alarm clock, not my phone alarm that has lulls between the sounds. I’m sure the sound would wake me up but then when I was first awake enough to be aware, there was no sound happening, and I had no idea what was going on. This morning is the first weekday in the last few weeks that I didn’t wake up confused. Small victories..

My partner just called and asked if I wanted to join him in town for some shopping and he’d get me some bath bombs from Lush. I’ve been sick the last few days so that’s cheered me up immensely
