I get low blood sugar sometimes. Once my DH realized I was low this morning he brought me some food, drink and a kiss on the forehead. It truly is the little things.

My fiance made me pumpkin spiced coffee to drink on my way to my second bridal fitting. My dress fits, it’s perfect, the seamstress fixed the cape so it fits properly, and I am so freaking excited to wear it all for my wedding in 2 weeks!

I needed this: I had a high school student admitted for mental health concerns. Some of you may remember my post about him coming out this past spring, well it’s gotten so much more complex and he’s not doing well. He was also my only student on his particular instrument and our first competition is this week, obviously NOT my primary concern but I do have other kids I need to solve this problem for and they don’t know where their friend is. So it’s been an emotional day.

Best thing: an 6th grade student with autism remembered I love my black cat and gave me a stuffed black cat. My 6th graders aptly names him wiggly potatoes ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

My husband had to make a work trip to New York and while he was there he picked up FOUR boxes of my favorite muffins! He will be home any minute and I’m up past my normal bedtime waiting for them…. and him of course ๐Ÿ™‚

sweetiemermaid :  my boss was super impressed with a proposal I’d spent the last couple of months working on. It was such a weight off my shoulders that all that work was worth it. I’d been soooo stressed out for weeks  up til our meeting today because I was so worried about what if I’d taken all this time to produce something and it ended up being shit.

Of course, I do that to myself. My boss has literally *never* told me my work was shit…

My husband texted from his business trip to say he thinks he’ll be home earlier than expected, and also to remind me that we’re having afternoon tea at the local Cat Cafe this weekend, which I’d totally forgotten about.

Also my cat escorted me down the street to my car, which was sweet.

I turned down a promotion to a different business line at work a few weeks ago but today reached out to say I’d made a mistake – the role was still on the table and the hiring manager was super supportive of my change of heart. Will be finalising things next week! Been a great day! ๐Ÿ™‚

If I’m being honest, I’ve been inside of my own head way too much and its making for a shitty time lately.

I’m really struggling with the fact that DH leaves for a trip that will have him gone for two weekends. Then, to top it off he’s going to be “home” but not around the next 2 weekends as well due to wedding commitments for a friend’s wedding he is in (bach party and the wedding). Our weeknights are somewhat busy, so I really thrive off of having some quality time together on the weekends and we aren’t getting to be together hardly at all the next 4 weeks… it sucks bad.

The bright side to this busy season we are going through is:

  1. I have a therapy appt tomorrow. The timing of it is perfect with my anxiety being high that DH has his trip, so I’m looking forward to it actually.
  2. DH said if his trip is successful (hunting) he will keep a specific part of the animal to have made into a souvenir for me (jewelry). This is not as morbid as it seems as the jewelry pieces made are beautiful.

I guess another positive is that we have discussed a good communication plan while DH is away to help ease my anxiety (something I’m working on in therapy majorly) and he is on board with it and appreciates me seeking out therapy lately to help myself.

kmbumbee190618 :  awwww bee…. I hope your therapist can help you get out of your own head, anxiety is absolutely unbearable sometimes.

I actually see my own therapist today, I’m also looking forward to it
